LESSON ONE: Identifying the missing piece of the puzzle

The illogical logic

Imagine if you will that you are just starting out with your idea of an online business. You have made the effort of doing market research, identifying your demographics and building your website to hit that niche market that you have identified. After countless hours of time and effort you are finally ready to go live.

At first everything is going well and your site is up and running. You can navigate easily to your website and it works well with little to no lag time in page loads. It has a wealth of information and an unbelievable offer. So now you sit back and wait for the money to start rolling in.

The next logical question that you must be asking at this point is; "How do I do that."

The answer is simple, but implementing it is not easy unless you have the right tools to do so.

Think about all the work you did when researching your market and your market demographics. How much information did you come across? This is your answer to the question of what to do. Let me explain. In essence you want to take all the information that you gathered over time and put it into a report. In today's day and age a person surfing the web trying to find information that they can get lost in an overwhelming amount of information. Your objective is to distill that information into a usable report. Then create a link on your web page that allows those individuals the opportunity to download this report, at no cost to them, simply for providing their contact information.

The easy part

It is simple; just ask them if they would like information regarding the given subject that you are promoting. Then simply ask them to provide their name and email address so that you can "email" them the report that you created. This in essence is called or referred to as information leveraging; taking the information that you know and leveraging that information to your benefit.

The difficult part
