McGrail Vineyards
McGrail Vineyards was established in 1999, and has sought to produce the finest Cabernet grapes in the Livermore Valley. The vineyard uses a technique called green harvesting, which means that some of the grapes on each vine are discarded before they ripen. Once ripened, the lower quality grapes are also discarded, leaving only the very best grapes for the crush. These grapes are then aged in French, American, and Russian Oak barrels for several months. Finally, all three barrels are blended to produce the finest Cabernet Sauvignon in the Valley.
