Relaxation Meditation - Stress Relief Meditation
I think that a simple short breathing exercise is a great way to relax. It is mainly used for warm up and making the mind and body ready to performing the other part of the meditation. But if you just sit and focus on your breathing for 10-20 minutes, your body will still relax and it will reduce tension in your body.
Another relaxation meditation meditation I like is the visualization meditation, where you, in your minds eye, create a beautiful and relaxing landscape and place yourself in it. You are just enjoying the wonderful view and smelling the fresh air. I think this is a nice and calming way to relax.
If you have other Meditation Techniques or if you have tried these two Meditation exercises you are most welcome to leave a comment.

If you have other stress reducing techniques and exercises for reducing stress, or if you have tried the mentioned techniques, please leave a comment.

- Once I was told a story from a wise man he said immagine you where a rabbit and you where so lucky enough of meeting the most powerful Guru or Enlightened Master (let's just call him God) who gives you the most powerful meditation for relaxation, however every time you get chased by a fox it would not work. If instead God gave you the meditation for self realization and you discover that you are a tiger... now do you even need a meditation for relaxation? :)

- Meditation is Awareness. Meditation increases one's awareness.
There are a lot of different techniques and methods on meditaion. As long as these meditation activities are free from any other distraction to the mind, it is effective meditation.
Meditation means 'a cessation of the thought process'. It's a state of consciousness, when the mind is free of scattered thoughts and various patterns.
The observer (one who is doing meditation) realizes that all the activity of the mind is reduced to one.

- Five Reasons to Meditate Daily
Meditation is a state wherein a person relaxes his mind and concentrating deeply. It has been practiced by people from different cultures for thousands of years. During the ancient times, meditation was only used to gain religious knowledge. Nowadays, studies show that regular mind training exercises such as meditation provides a lot of positive effects in a person's daily life.
In this article, I will share the 5 main reasons why I advise people to practice meditation on a daily basis.
1. Thru meditation, you will be able to gain control of your mind. This will help you improve your decision-making skills and will help you attain a more POSITIVE ATTITUDE in life. Acquiring these things, you will become more capable of managing the daily challenges of life.
2. When you meditate regularly, you will find self-acceptance; you will discover the purpose of your existence in spite of all the failures that life has brought you. This is because you have found INNER PEACE.
3. You should inhale and exhale properly when meditating; it should be deeper and slower than usual. This way, it is easier for your body to receive sufficient amount of oxygen that helps your muscles relax and promotes proper blood circulation. This very state of relaxation can make the mind and the body work to IMPROVE HEALTH.
4. With a relaxed mind, you will find time to get to know yourself better. A person is able to DISCOVER AND DEVELOP INNATE SKILLS when he meditates. It helps him acknowledge and enhance one's skill and talent by deepening one's intuition and creativity.
5. Simple meditation is known to boost the body's immune system. This process RELEASES STRESS. Everyone knows that stress is the root of major illnesses; reducing the stress level in the body will result to improving our immune system; it will make us less prone to these illnesses.
Daily meditation does not mean that a person needs to be in a dark, quiet room or a faraway place to get away from distractions. Also, there is no need for you to pay hundreds of dollars in order to learn meditation techniques. You just need to sit or lie down in a comfortable place; then close your eyes. Begin with your breathing exercises - breathe in through your nose until your lungs are full and breathe out through your mouth. The idea is to relax, concentrate, focus and experience a peaceful and deep meditation.

- Finding Inner Peace through Meditation
Over the years, people from all over the world have come to realize that each one of us has a purpose in our lives and this may be found if we seek deep within our souls. How exactly are we going to do this? Meditation is the answer.
Meditation has been in existence for thousands of years. A lot of people believe that through meditation, one will get to know himself better. It can bring out the best in you and can also make you realize the meaning of your existence. You may also experience inner peace that you have long been waiting for through meditation.
It will take a lot of practice, patience and hard work to learn the proper way of meditation. It plays a significant role to balance one's peace of mind and thoughts which helps in developing the analytical and psychological capabilities of a person. It also gives some spiritual advantages to its devotees. It is even said that Buddhist monks have out of body experiences when they reach ?enlightenment? while meditating.
So, how does one begin the meditation process? What's the first step to find inner peace? Let's begin by finding the right location. Any corner in your bedroom, living room or yard is perfect as long as you feel comfortable. You may lie down, stand up or sit in a mat, it does not really matter. Start by taking deep breaths, slowly breathe in and breathe out through your mouth or nose. It may sound very easy but in reality focusing and concentrating during this time is more difficult than you think. A lot of distractions will surely find their way in. When this happens, take a few minutes off to remind yourself of what you're doing and start all over again. As a beginner, this may be done for 5 to 10 minutes each session. If it cannot be done on a daily basis, do it at least 3 to 4 times a week. Mind training exercises like these guarantees improvement in our daily lives and allows us to control anger and make better choices in everything that we do. After some time, you will be amazed that you have happiness coming from deep within.

Intuition
So what is intuition?
Well, you have probably experienced it a lot in your life, but did not pay much attention to it. I am sure that you have experienced it in some form.
Have you ever thought about calling a certain person, and then they all of a sudden call you right after?
Have a thought about someone or something unexpectedly popped in to your head, and then you see them or it the next day or a couple of days later?
Or maybe you have felt wrong about a certain decision you were about to make, and then you later on discovered that it really would have been a bad decision.
So intuition is your ability to feel or in some other way know what is going to happen and what the right choices are.
You can train your intuition by using Tarot Cards as a developing tool. Work with the Tarot Cards and try to sense what card you are going to pick and the meaning of it, and what the card tells you about you and your current situation. You can also do a complete tarot card reading and get answers to your questions.

- Hello,
I'm not really sure of what I experienced was and I was hoping I'd find some help explaining it on this site.
Anyway, here it goes.
I was meditating the other day picturing myself on a nice field under a tree enjoying the the last rays of the sun about to disappear behind the horizon. In front of me is a really calm and still river (more like a lake actually, but doesn't matter).
While watching the sun at some moment I close my eyes and "see" the light with closed eyes and after a moment I feel the strangest of things: as if the atmospheric pressure around me suddenly just increased (imagine diving into a pool, almost the same feeling).
When my inner self re-opened it's eyes I saw a dark sky above me, it was very windy and there were huge waves coming from the side of the river.
It was quite frightening actually, but I thought it was my imagination playing tricks on me, so I kind of pushed the whole scene away, until everything around me was back to it's usual beautiful and peaceful self.
While doing this I again felt the change in air pressure around me, but this time I felt enlightened, as if I had emerged from under water.
In a while the same thing repeats itself, only the storm is worse.
Again, I push it away.
On the third time the storm is accompanied with an earthquake, which cracks the earth nearly under my feet. This time I wasn't able to do anything about the situation and was forced to retreat to my physical body, in other words, to open my eyes.
I felt I had no control over the situation, and it really bothers me.
I haven't meditated since then yet, so I can't say whether it was only a one-time experience, or it shall repeat itself.
If anyone has an explanation for this strange occurrence, I'll be very thankful to hear it.

Manifestation - Visualization Meditation
They say that it is possible to achieve anything you want just with the power of your mind. If you focus on what you want, it may manifest in to your life.
First you are supposed to make a plan on how you are going to work.
Every day you need to show your gratitude. Be grateful for every little thing that you have. Whatever pops in to your mind.
Then get a clear image in your mind of what you want. If you want a house, picture every little detail on or in that house. It still has to be realistic, so that you can believe that it might be possible.
Remember that you have to be a part of the picture. You need to place yourself in to the mental picture that you have, so that you will own whatever you want to manifest.
Every day you should do a visualization meditation on what you want. Just take a couple of minutes to really feel and see the thing that you wish for. Feel how it would feel if you already owned it. Convince yourself that it is certain that you are going to get it.
But things do not come directly to you all the time. You need to be aware of signs and opportunities that arrive, which will lead you to the thing you wish for.
