- My teenage daughter is an artist, a doodler and a master seamstress, so this lens is truly inspirational and I can't wait to share it with her. She has done many applique art and clothing pieces on her own, but I know she'd love to learn your melting techniques to implement in future projects. It's always a pleasure to visit your beautiful, creative lenses!

- Thanks so much for visiting and thank you for the purple star!!! :D
Sounds like I would have a lot to learn from her - I'm not so good at putting stuff together into garments - even with a costume degree!

- Your textile art is absolutely amazing! Wow. And it came out of your doodles -- they are all gorgeous, if I had to pick a favorite, I think its the Summer Bag. And you're a Charles de Lint fan too :) He's one of my favorite authors. Grandmother Toad is in Spiritwalk. Beautiful lens!

- Oh my goodness. I was always a doodler in school. I cannot even imagine anything this amazing coming from my doodles. Your work is amazing.

- Thank you! Your comment means a lot to me :)
Don't let her throw anything away! That's the thing that gets me when I've done school workshops- the students throw stuff away and it's such a shame. Every little doodle is precious even if it's just because it shows you how not to do something!!
I was just thinking, right before I saw your message, how I see something in my head and when I try to recreate it in reality it never looks how I imagined and I think that's where everyone's disappointment comes from- you have to learn that what you make is amazing because it wasn't what you thought it would be- your hands had other ideas! Your final piece is so brilliant you could never have thought it up without our hands and a pen, or fabric, or whatever you use!

- As a mom of a very creative child, I want to tell you how much I love this lens. I'm constantly telling her that art doesn't spring fully done from the hand. There is much planning, designing, drafting that goes into the process. I love this lens and will share it with her. Thanks for giving us a view inside an artist's mind (via her sketchbook).
You're officially blessed!

- This is wonderful! I learned as a child the power of doodling. My mother took it to an art form.
Thanks!

- Thanks so much! :D
I was worried I was getting to the point where I'm adding way too many pictures and not enough anything else but I guess with an art lens pics are important!

- This is outstanding Rachel! Love all the images (even doodles!)! ;)
What's most appealing to me is matching of colors you used in each of your work! Have to say: mermaid is my favorite! :D
BTW, angel in me is urged to leave thumbs up on this lens! Blessings! :D
