Short Term Memory loss characterized by mild forgetfulness can have a slow or sudden onset and may either be permanent or temporary depending on the cause. It can show up as limited ability to remember events which had occurred recently or events which occurred in the distant past.

It is a fact that some of us get more forgetful as we age. Sometimes it takes longer to learn new things, remember familiar names and words, or find your glasses. Years of constant use (and abuse) cause the brain to loose some of its ability to process new or learned material. These are usually signs of mild forgetfulness which is not a serious memory problem if it is not accompanied by diseases characterized by memory loss.

The most common and noticeable problem related to memory loss is forgetting names. This is just normal as a person ages. With aging the brain changes the way it stores information the proof is that only recent memories are affected but the short-term and the those in the distant past are not usually affected by a decline in the ability to remember. Memory loss caused by aging does not mean the inability to learn new things or a decline of intellect it just means that the brain needs more time to process new information. Aging by itself is not the cause of dramatic decline of memory unless other diseases are involved. Other cause of this problem are psychological trauma, head injury, side effects of medicines, and alcoholism.

Forgetting things sometimes such as forgetting your neighbor\'s name, forgetting where your eyeglasses are, forgetting to buy something at the grocery, leaving your car keys in the car is but normal. o Constant repetition of words or phrases in the same conversation.
o Confusion in handling finances and finishing simple tasks.
o Cannot follow simple instructions like operating a new appliance.
o Problems in judgment or coming up with decisions.
o Constantly being irritable and incontinent.
o Confusion about time, people, events, and places.

It is sometimes hard to tell by yourself that your problem is serious. For this you'd need medical advise. Talk to your doctor or seek a doctor qualified to diagnose memory problems.     Has a good memory was very important, as we go older we loss our memory but we can help it by exercising, eating a right foods and taking some vitamins or memory enhancer like procera AVH and many more to maintain our good memory even we go older.
