Mermaids Hawaii - Hawaii's Best Kept Secret

I am here to expose one of the little known secrets about Hawaii and that secret is Mermaids Hawaii. Mermaids Hawaii's mermaid water ballet shows have been making people happy with their numerous performances since 1971. Through the tireless efforts of Mermaids Hawaii Director, Alice Roberts and through your generous donations, the shows have continued to thrive.

Ironically Not Too Many People Know About Mermaids Hawaii

Because it is a volunteer organization, it hasn't made it to the mainstream entertainment media much. It's fans grow primarily by word of mouth and through the charitable organizations they perform for. Swimmers are all volunteers and get paid through clapping of hands, the accolades, the tears of joy from the audience, the laughter and the smiles...the knowledge that they are putting happiness into the hearts of those they perform for.

Besides, they also feel that it's good exercise!

Visitors and residents alike can watch one of the regular Mermaids Hawaii shows at the Princess Kaiulani Hotel located in Waikiki open to the public, for free! When you see one of the shows, tell them "mermaidlife" sent you.

City & County of Honolulu Sponsors Free to the public, Synchronized Swimming Classes at the Makiki District Park Pool taught by Alice Roberts during the year. See City & County of Honolulu course schedule for details. Generally held on Tuesdays and Fridays 2:30pm-3:30pm.

Mermaids Hawaii, in conjunction with the City and County of Honolulu Parks and Recreation Department provide free synchronized swimming lessons to the public. Typically, Tuesdays and Fridays from 2:30pm-3:30pm. For updates and more details, see Mermaids Hawaii website.
