Michael Jackson Biography and Discography

Michael Jackson born on 29th August 1958 at Gary (a little place in Indiana) from an African to American family.
He was the seventh of nine brothers and sisters, and all of them were so lucky to become local tv and music singers.

On his youth, Michael Jackson certified a very difficult relationship with Joseph Jackson, his father, reporting a large number of abuses, physical and emotional, during whippings and rehearsals.
But in the future has thought about his father as the person that trusted more in his performances and guided him to a straight musical success.
Michael Jackson revealed all that problems related to childhood abuses for the first time in a special Tv interview on 1993.

In 1964 joined the family group "Jackson Brothers" with his brother Marlon. THe other components of group were Jackie, Jermaine and Tito, all his brothers.
For the first times Michael Jackson played only the tambourine on the background.
After some performances, two years later Michael Jackson performed some backup vocals and started to dance with success.
In 1966, at only 8 years, decided with the brother Jermaine Jackson to assume the lead vocals of the group, that changed his name in the"Jacksons 5".
They started a great midwest tour on all the american black clubs, finished two years later, in 1968.
In 1966 the group won a famous local talent show with the interpretation of Motown Hits and James Brown's I Got You.

In 1968 they decided to sign up for Motown Records.
When they came to Los Angeles, Michael Jackson and brothers started to work on a singing and dancing stage, with their father Joseph Jackson as a manager.
They lived with the Motown founder Berry Gordon and also with Diana Ross, one of the Supremes singer, that in 1969 presented the Jackson 5 to the music world at a special event.
For this reason, their first album was named "Diana Ross presents the Jackson 5" and hit all the charts, when their first four singles were at first place in Billboard Hot 100 in 1970.

In 1972 Michael Jackson released four great solo studio albums with Motown Records, among them "Got to Be There" and "Ben", released from Jackson 5 group.
The Motown founder Berry Gordon written some of their songs, but in 1973 the Jacksons registered some problems with Motown Records, caused by high tensions between Berry Gordon and Joseph Jackson.
So Motown Records refused to continue the business with Jackson 5, also if they registered a lot of Top 40 Hits some times after.
So, in 1975 the Jackson 5 left Motown Records.

Just a bit later the Jacksons 5, after the inclusion of another Michael Jackson's brother, Randy, changed the name in "The Jacksons".
And after joining Epic Records they got an incredible series of success in 1978 with the song "Destiny".
With the group's success, Michael Jackson and brothers were universally considered talented songwriters.

Michael Jackson, through the help of producer Quincy Jones, became worldwide famous with the 1979 album called "Off the Wall", where Pop music and Funk sounds mixed as never before, and this unexpected success let Michael Jackson won his first Grammy Awards with the following songs : "Don't Stop 'Til You Get Enough", "Rock with You" and the title track.

The success of Michael Jackson directly helped The Jacksons, that obtained an historical success, selling more than 1'000'000 copies of the 1980 "Triumph" album.
And after that The Jacksons decided to start a new tour to exhalt their latest songs.

In 1982 the astounding songs of Michael Jackson, connected to his singular voice and outstanding dances, attracted Paul McCartney, the well-known Beatles star, that decided to ask him for a duet : the song "The Girl is Mine" registered a greatest success, coming to the top of the most important worldwide charts.
When Michael Jackson Thriller album hit the market in 1982, a duet song copy was included on the disc.

Thriller album was a really exceptional creation, and stay on top of the hits for more than 30 weeks !
The Thriller video consequently became very popular because was directed by John Landis and was a dance full of special effects and latest technologies, including a spectacular voice over by the actor Vincent Price.
Finally Thriller obtained 8 Grammy Awards on 12 nominations, becoming one of the most remarkable success of all times for Michael Jackson.

In 1984, the worldwide famous Michael Jackson and Pepsi Cola signed a 5 Million Dollars contract for the registration of many spots.
But while he was registering one of these advertising, Michael Jackson was seriously injured by a burn to hair and face.
In this way started the plastic surgery experience by Michael Jackson, that changed his life in the next future, as we know.
Always in 1984, Michael Jackson made his last appearance with The Jacksons group, as a supporter for their album success.
One of the greatest hits of this album was the Michael Jackson's duet with Mick Jagger, named "State of Shock".

After one year, just in 1985, Michael Jackson showed to all the world his altruistic side, singing and cowriting the yet-to-become-famous "We Are The World", a charity song from USA to African countries.
Some famous international singers enjoied the creation of this album, like Bob Dylan, Bruce Springsteen, Lionel Ritchie, Ray Charles, Tina Turner and many others.

After the neverending success of Thriller (1982), Michael Jackson created once again a 5-time number 1 in top charts : a new album called "Bad".
The most succesfull songs of the album were two : "Man in the Mirror", "The Way You Make Me Feel", and as usual the title track that was entitled by a Martin Scorsese's video.
Michael Jackson focalize his efforts to promote Bad through concerts.
But this album obtained only less than half of the success registered by Thriller.

In these times Michael Jackson made only a few fast interviews, showing an high level of indifference to media requests.
In 1988 Michael Jackson bought more than 2500 acres in California, where he planned to build a questionable amusement zone fullfilled by free animals, that in a few years took the name of Neverland Ranch, a name took straightly from Peter Pan's zone where the children were never growin' up.
That zone was distant 100 miles from Los Angeles.
For majority of people Michael Jackson was living a second childhood, for some of the others the effective reason was obscure, just because Mihael Jackson sometimes created particular events for childrens.
And many news, in the same time, reported that Michael Jackson was trying to enlight his natural skin colour, to appear more light, especially to European eyes.
Some years later we have seen how many problems Neverland Ranch and Skin replacement have caused to Michael Jackson.

In 1991 Michael Jackson released a new album : "Dangerous".
One of the abum tracks, "Black or White", in the video registered the presence of the young tv star Macaulay Culkin, the young cinema star.
In the latest minutes of video Michael Jackson damaged his image all over the world, because he was showed making violent actions mixed to sexual gestures.
Michael Jackson and his songs continued to enjoy people for many years.
In 1993, for example, he performed the half time show at the 27th Superbowl with a fashion formal dress.

In 1994 instead born the first real problems for Michael Jackson : a 13 years old boy declared to the news companies that the singer had fondled him many times.
Generally people know that Michael Jackson had the habit to take sleepovers with children at the Neverland Ranch, but that was the first time that a boy notified a report to police.
So the Police investigated and proceeded to a research in the Neverland Ranch, but finding no clues the request drop without any problem for Michael.
In future more cases drop out again, but all the invesigations have never found anything suspicious.

In the month of August 1994, Michael Jackson announced his marriage with Lisa Marie Presley, know as the daughter of the rock star Elvis Presley.
Michael and Lisa Marie Presley stay married for as long as two years, just because in 1996 a divorce stop their apparently succesfull wedding.
Some journalists and fans thought that was only an undercover way to restore his personal image to the followers after his continue molestation allegations.

In 1996 Michael Jackson married again, with Debbie Rowe, a nurse.
The couple after a few times after the wedding had two sons, a boy and a girl : Prince Michael Jackson in '97 and Paris Micheal Jackson in '98.
Michael Jackson and Debbie Rowe divorced three years later, in 1999.
The custody of their two sons was finally assigned to Michael Jackson.
A few years later, in 2002, Michael Jackson's sons become three, with the coming Prince Michael Jackson II, born from the relation with an actually unknown woman.

Michael Jackson career start to arrest in 1995, after the wordlwide release of the album "HIStory: Past, Present and Future, Book I", that included success from the past and some new songs.
The best two songs to remember are : "You are not alone" and "Scream", a special Michael Jackson duet with Janet Jackson.
The duet's song won a Grammy Award thanks to the video.
But the album was criticized harshly for an antisemitic term found on the song "They Don't Care About Us".

The newest "Invincible" alum, released in 2001, sold a high number of copies, but the image of Michael Jackson appeared anyway damaged by the coming tabloid reports, that considered him more eccentric than a singer.
The stories of Michael Jackson's odd behavior started to cancel his talent through the people.
On the following times, he used to appear in public with a surgical mask and a pair of black sunglasses, and he use to hide also his children, putting their lovely faces under veils.

In 2002, at the MTV Awards show, Michael Jackson appeared disoriented as never before.
A few time later, it was rebooked by fans and newspapers because he put his third son (Prince Michael Jackson II) out from a hotel balcony without any protection, risking to loose him in a fall.

In 2003 the journalist Martin Bashir registered a tv documentary about Michael Jackson, and his reputation fall again one step to the ground.
The journalist stayed many months with Michael Jackson, and at the end of recording decided to make him a question about a thorny and continuous problem : the relation with children.
Michael Jackson in fact admitted the continue children's sleepover at Neverland Ranch also after investigation of 1993.

In fact, just one year later, in 2004, Michael Jackson was arrested consequently to molestation on a 13 years old child.

While he was there, Michael Jackson decided to create a new album with the son of the King of Barain, but nothing happened and the project was never completed.

As I heard many times on radio, in 2008 Michael Jackson have decided to sold his marvellous Neverland Ranch with all the existent preemptions.
But just the following year he bought back some of the his favorite items.

In 2009 Michael Jackson announced that decided to make a series of concerts in London as a "Final Curtain Call", as he said in many interviews.
Many fans thought that Michael Jackson fragility would be a problem, and he have no power to complete so many concerts in a few days.
But he decided the date : July 8, 2009 at the O2 Arena.
All the tickets were sold in a breeze, less than 4 hours.

But he can't complete his plan : on June 25 of 2009 Michael Jackson, absolutely the greatest singer I've ever heard, died suddenly consequently to a cardiac arrest in Los Angeles.
He was only 50 years old, too early for the Legend of Pop.

The same day, at the UCLA Medical Center of Los Angeles, all the Michael Jackson fans came as soon as they heard the sad news under his window to pray for him.

Only a few days later police discovered that the death was caused by continue medicine cocktail proposed by his personal doctor.

The two best songs of the entire album are two for my opinion : "Dirty Laundry" and "Idiot".

On May 26th 1994 Lisa Marie Presley and Michael Jackson married, after a wedding strongly stigmatized by press.
Their wedding was interrupted two years later by a divorce.
Anyway Michael Jackson and Lisa Marie Presley stay as good friends from 1992 to 1998.

Actually, after the death of Michael Jackson, Lisa Marie Presley website brought online a page with his final comment : she defended Michael Jackson, avoiding to express any doubt or problem.
