Paying Tribute to Michael Jackson and Celebrating his Life and Music

June 25th, 2009 will forever be remembered by Michael Jackson fans around the world as the day that Michael Jackson died. Personally I prefer to remember August 29th, 1958 which is Michael Jackson's birthday. I have a good reason for doing so, I would like to celebrate the start of his life rather than the end of it. Given all of the latest Michael Jackson news we have lost sight of his achievements. So I have written a Michael Jackson tribute poem that celebrates the greatest gift that he gave to us, his music. There are many popular songs by Michael Jackson but my own personal favorites and those of many Michael Jackson fans are his inspirational songs. Therefore, my tribute poem pays homage to my favorite inspirational songs by Michael Jackson. Like many other fans around the world I am saddened by his death and pained by all of the latest negative Michael Jackson news but I find comfort in knowing that he will forever live on in his music.

Our Inspirational Song

You lit up the world with your dancing feet
And your sparkling glove
Now that you are gone
You light up our hearts with your un-dying love
Conveyed to us in your inspirational songs
Embraced by your music
We are Not Alone

It matters not if we are
Black or White
Our dreams can forever take flight
Soaring in inspiration
We can Heal the World
Spurred along by your inspiring words

When we look at the Man in the Mirror
We can believe that if we Keep the Faith
Our mission will be clearer
So let us join together and sing
One Earth Song,
To help Heal this World
Before we are gone.

For being our inspirational song.

    Goodbye Michael

    A star has been plucked from the sky.
    The sky is now dimmer.
    It happened on June 25th.
    A day, we will always remember.

    Never again to see Michael's smile light up the skies.
    Never again to see him moonwalk across the stage as his fans cries.
    Never again to hear him sing Billie Jean.
    To the roaring sound of his fans' screams.

    A brother of the sun has been taken away.
    But in our hearts his music will always stay.
    Michael Jackson will now dance among the clouds.
    And in the heavens, you will still see him singing loud and proud.
