I found this Squidoo site and had to share."I've been pretty disgusted by all the Michael Vick news. It's rather disheartening. So, this site is to promote Animal Welfare and Animal Rescue Awareness.
I want to do this in two ways.
1) Sign my guestbook and tell me why you love animals and if you are active in animal welfare, rescue or have adopted a rescue animals. Let's spread the word on the positive things happening for us four legged love muffins!
2) Secondly, I want to become the Internet Rescue Dog Poster Child so I can speak for those who aren't loved and allowed to be free. To do this, I've created the Chubba Wubba Award of Excellence (website award as displayed below) that I'd like to award to the top blogs or websites that display excellence in Animal Rescue and Welfare.
3) Nominate your site or someone else's for this prestigous award. Nomination information should be via the guest book. In the nomination, we'll need to know:
1. Your name & email
2. The site address being nominated
3. 3 reasons why you believe the site shows excellence in Animal Rescue and Awareness.
Each site nominated will be notified of their nomination and the first round of awards will be announced by September 30, 2007. What can I say? My fiscal year is the same as the government. It starts October 1.
