The Epitomy Of Grace, Charm, & Class
As the wife of the Presumptive Nominee for President of the United States, Michelle Robinson Obama, is the poster child for what it means to work hard and play by the rules.
With grace, charm, and class, Michelle is a selfless individual who has served her community and now hopes to support Barack Obama in his vision as President of the United States.
Before the 2008 Democratic Convention that began on 8/25, I was thoroughly impressed with Barack & Michelle's narrative. I had plenty to time during the super long Democratic primary to assess and evaluate the Obama's. My impression was and still is very favorable.
But when she stood on that stage on that night, I was awestruck. Her narrative was brilliant!
During the convention, Rev. Eugene Rivers said:
"Her life story was powerful and represented the evidence of American exceptionalism. Only in America would you get a narrative like this, and that's a fact!"
I couldn't agree more.
Tears streamed down my face as I listened to her speak and I have never been prouder of ANYONE in my life. All politics aside, Michelle Robinson Obama is an inspiration and she is one of my heroes - plus she's tall like me! :-D
I will do my best to present my point of view about Michelle without getting too emotional. Join me in getting to know this unique, dazzling woman.

Michelle Obama's Humble Beginnings
As the descendant of slaves, Michelle LaVaughn Robinson Obama has come a long way from her humble beginnings in South Carolina.Michelle is the mother of two beautiful daughters, Vice President of Community and External Affairs at University of Chicago Hospitals, and wife of Presumptive Democratic Nominee for President, Barack Obama.
But she hasn't forgotten her early years as a little girl growing up on the South side of Chicago.
Raised in a traditional household, Michelle learned early the value of working hard and playing by the rules.
Her dad, the late Frasier Robinson, worked as a city water plant employee. Her mom, Marian Robinson, remained in the home to take care of her family. She eventually went on to work at Speigal's catalog store as a Secretary.
Michelle's older brother, Craig, is an accomplished man in his own right.
Both siblings had a knack for education as they both skipped the second grade. They were bright kids. Especially Michelle who was a stand-out in school.
The Robinson's lived in a one bedroom bungalow on South Shore. Michelle and Craig slept in the partitioned living room, as the dwelling had little space.
Battling Multiple Sclerosis, Frasier gritted his teeth and went to work everyday to support his family.
Michelle and Craig were his inspiration. He wanted to make their future brighter than his own.
I'm sure he's looking down from heaven with pride and admiration at his children's accomplishments.
Both made their parent's sacrifices well worth the effort...

Though I'm not of the democratic persuasion, I agree that Michelle Obama seems like a very classy lady.
