Microtech Knives

The Currahee was named after a Cherokee word which means "Stands Alone". This fixed blade knife is the one I would want if I was standing alone. Orignally designed for the US Special Forces Boat Team 20, the knife went through a bunch of field testing before it was put into full scale production. In the high intensity proving ground, the Currahee stood out. Microtech says, "This knife far surpassed all expectations, and therefore, we gave it the name 'Currahee'".
This fantastic survival knife comes with a very nice ballistic nylon sheath that can be strapped about anywhere. If you are looking for a long lasting, high quality survival knife or fixed blade combat knife, give the Microtech Currahee serious consideration. It comes in a variety of colors. You can also get it with serrations on both sides, serrations just on the front side, or with just a plain blade--as shown in the picture. I think I like the plain blade best.

The Combat Troodon is a top flight OTF knife made 25% larger than the original Troodon. It has the same slender handle, contoured shape and radical design elements that the original has but in a larger package. This knife is specifically designed for a wide variety of utility purposes as well as close quarter combat situations. In a word, this is a spectacular combat out-the-front knife.
Like all of Microtech's knives, this knife has precision workmanship and incredibly tight action. You slide the button up and the blade slides out. Once it triggers out and locks up tight--the blade has virtually no wiggle in it. The tolerances are amazingly prcecise. Almost unbelievable. I work with wood as a hobby and if I could get some of my furniture pieces this tight, I would be Sam Maloof reborn.
