Magnetic Sponsoring: After Reading It Will You Become A Lead Magnet...? YES -- Just Not Instantly!

Greetings. Lena Bjorna here, full-time entrepreneur, professional marketer and a "Magnetic Sponsoring" devotee.

I'd like to see if I can shed some light on an issue that I see a lot of brand new network marketers grapple with: How to go about implementing "Magnetic Sponsoring" into their business.

Maybe you are one of them. Maybe you are someone who has just finished reading the "Magnetic Sponsoring" book and you're completely blown away by its concepts - it's hit you at a gut level...

Everything Mike Dillard talks about in the book makes perfect sense to you...maybe you even feel like I did after first reading it -- "wow, everything I've been taught about building my business up until now is actually dead wrong!" -- but you're still sitting there going "now what?"

You're overwhelmed and you need clear directions. You know that having gone through the Magnetic Sponsoring course doesn't automatically turn you into a lead magnet; you know you've got to take action on what you've learned, you're just not exactly sure how.

The Next Step(s) 

First of all, know that being confused at this point is perfectly okay and that you are in good company. So take a breath. Go get some fresh air. Take a cold shower. Whatever you need to do to regain your senses.

Building You Inc. 

Point # 1: First, real quick, let's do a recap of the basics because this is soooo important: If you've read Magnetic Sponsoring you know that the concept of building 'You Inc' is the foundation everything else in the book rests on:

Mike Dillard talks about the fact that your business actually has nothing to do with your company because people don't join companies; they join other people...or more specifically, they join leaders.

Therefore you need to invest in yourself and your own education, continuously giving value to others and positioning yourself as a leader and an expert within your field.

You, The Problem Solver 

Your task as a marketer is to solve other people's problems.

And when you approach your potential customer from a place of expertise instead of a place of need, you will attract them instead of scaring them away. Whether you've made any money yet in your business is irrelevant. What matters is that you've got the answers to the questions your prospects are asking.

And your education never stops. The more value you add to yourself, the better of a resource you become to your prospects and the more magnetically attracted to you they will be.

So go find a need and fill it!

Who Are They, What Do They Want, And How Do You Reach Them? 

Okay, let's get real practical here for a minute...

If marketing is about identifying somebody's problem and providing them with the solution, well, then you have got to determine what the problem is and how it can be solved (whether the problem is a lack of leads, good nutrition, financial stability or whatever), which means you've got to know exactly what your target market is and how to reach it!

After Magnetic Sponsoring I recommend moving on to Mike Dillard's "MLM Traffic Formula". Here you'll learn how to use landing pages to "capture" the names and emails of your prospects in return for some valuable info that you will offer them completely free of charge (abiding by the principle of "value first").

The Value Is In The List 

Mike Dillard's "MLM Traffic Formula" will teach you how to continue building your "list" (i.e. the names and contact info for your prospective future business partners) while establishing rapport with them through a series of personalized auto responders...

Because your ultimate purpose here is to develop long-term relationships.

Remember, only a very small percentage of your web site visitors will come in and join you in your business right off the bat, but if you give enough value, if you leave enough of an impression on their mind, (which is part of what your auto responders are for), they will come back to you when time is right for them.

The Funded Proposal 

Point # 2: While marketing yourself this way, you'll want to also sign up to market the "Magnetic Sponsoring" course as an affiliate. Not only can this quickly put some cash in your pocket but it will also help you connect with likeminded people.Photobucket

This is the idea of the funded proposal that Mike Dillard discusses in the Magnetic Sponsoring course: you sell your prospect something of great value at a very reasonable price (i.e. the MS course), which not only helps offset your advertising costs but also makes it a lot easier for you to turn your customers into distributors/reps later on because now they've done business with you and they know that you deliver.

In fact you over-deliver...

The Marketing System 

Point # 3: Last but not least, you've got to have an effective marketing system in place.

There is no such thing as a product that sells itself. Your success in this industry hinges on your ability to MOVE your products - that is, to get your products into the hands of paying customers. As a marketer, this is where you have got to focus your time and your effort.

So...if your company doesn't provide you with an effective, leveraged, automated system, go find one that does. One that's got the capture pages, auto responders, websites, sales funnel -- everything you need to instantly hit the ground running.

It's that important.

Focus, Focus, Focus 

Because -- as Mike Dillard so rightly teaches in "Magnetic Sponsoring" -- in addition to buying you as a leader, it's your System your prospects will ultimately buy.

Because it's your System (and not your vitamins, potions or lotions, or whatever else you may be selling) that is going to help your new reps build their businesses!

When you have the right system in place, you and your downline distributors can focus all your attention on:

1) Generating leads (i.e. brining traffic to the system) and
2) Continuing to add value to yourselves

...which really are two sides of same coin since the more valuable you become in the market place, the more prospects you will attract as a result. ;-)
