Mini Creamsicle Cooper The Hamster

Mini's name didn't use to be this long: Mini Creamsicle Cooper. It used to be just Minnie but of course that was when I thought he was a she.
It took a long time for my parents to let me get a hamster. When I finally got one I was sure I wanted a girl. I went to the pet store with my mom and the lady there said, "Which one do you want?" I said "I want any girl." She picked one up and said "It's a girl." So I brought it home and named it Minnie. Then I learn females are more agressive. And she sure was. She bit me twice the first day and peed on me. About two weeks later, my mom goes, "I think it's actually a boy!" so I changed his name to Mini Creamsicle Cooper. Idon't want to even think about how agressive he would be if he was a girl.

Sometimes Mini would get a little mat in his fur and my mother would trim it out. He hates to get his fur brushed.
One day we had friends over and I was outside and my mother took Mini out to show my friend's mom. Mini had a couple of mats and my friends mother offered to trim them.
A word of advice. Never let someone else cut your hamser's fur. Instead of clipping the mats out, she trimmed and trimmed and tried to make his fur even and when I came in and saw him, he was no longer a long haired hamster! I was so shocked!
He was not cute anymore.
His hair has grown back. It took about a month.

We had Mini on top of our Television while we watched Marley and Me. It was about the point in the movie when they had to euthanize Marley and my mom looks up and see's that mini isn't walking right it turns out that he had broken his back and was in a lot of pain. My father took him to an animal hospital to get put to sleep. While he was gone we finished Marley and Me it was a bit upsetting watching Marley get put to sleep knowing that was happening to Mini put it was nice to see how peaceful it was. Mini Creamsicle Cooper rolled his wheel over the rainbow bridge to heaven.
