Since a few years there are cheap blinds available for better acoustic. Those are great and I use them myself. When you close them the acoustic is perfect.

Soundproofing noisy PVC sewer lines: My basement apartment has the main PVC sewer line next to my bedroom. When the tenant upstairs flushes the toilet the noise of the water flushing is loud. Is there a pipe insulation that I can use or anything that will kill the sound?

We were doing Roofing Insulation and wall insulation in the addition we did on our home, and we added in the double insulation. You can not hear a thing now...

My neighbours said they have installed sound proofing, but the noise seems worse. I can remeber them having building work and there was alot of driiling on the partition wall. I thought you couldn't drill in the wall for soundproofing? Is this why it's worse?

I would like to soundproof my house which happens to be under a flightpath. I am currently renting and living in United Arab Emirates. What is the best, simplest, cheapest solution to block the noise of the planes on top of my roof?

I would like to make small soundproof minature boxes. What should I use to make them soundproof where I can talk inside them and those outside cannot hear what I am saying even though I can hear them talking. What should I use? Is carpet okay? I need something cheap. Thanks Reedia
