- Since a few years there are cheap blinds available for better acoustic. Those are great and I use them myself. When you close them the acoustic is perfect.

- Soundproofing noisy PVC sewer lines: My basement apartment has the main PVC sewer line next to my bedroom. When the tenant upstairs flushes the toilet the noise of the water flushing is loud. Is there a pipe insulation that I can use or anything that will kill the sound?

- My neighbours said they have installed sound proofing, but the noise seems worse. I can remeber them having building work and there was alot of driiling on the partition wall. I thought you couldn't drill in the wall for soundproofing? Is this why it's worse?

- I would like to soundproof my house which happens to be under a flightpath. I am currently renting and living in United Arab Emirates. What is the best, simplest, cheapest solution to block the noise of the planes on top of my roof?
