Mix Fest 2008
MixFest is an annual concert hosted by the radio station WBMX Mix 95.5 FM in Boston, MA. It began in 1993 as "Fall Fest", a free concert on Boston Common celebrating fall in New England.
It's gone on every year since then with the exception of 2001 when it was cancelled due to the tragedies on 9/11. Over the years it has changed venues multiple times, gotten larger, and become a ticket event with part of the proceeds being donated to charity.
This years MixFest was held at the Bank of America Pavilion in Boston on Saturday, October 11th. The line up for 2008 included Matt Nathanson, Finger Eleven, Jordin Sparks, Sarah McLachlan, and Bryan Adams.

Matt Nathanson
MIX loves featuring up & coming singer songwriters, and this year it's Matt Nathanson. He grew up in Lexington, Massachusetts so he was back on home turf for MixFest. He's now a California guy, but we won't hold that against him. ;)His music has been featured in the movie American Pie, on the shows Private Practice, Scrubs, and One Tree Hill, and he was named Best National Male Vocalist at last year's Boston Music Awards.
The very first time I heard one of his songs on the radio (I was in Maine of all places) I knew I needed to create a lyrics lens for it. And that's what I did as soon as I got home. Less than a month later I found out he was on the lineup for MixFest...w00t!
