    Chuck,

You're info and advice is more than I ever expected to be given from a model with your current status. First off, congrats to you. Secondly, wish me luck, I'm working with my photographer tomorrow and putting together a portfolio.
Thanks again for the inside tips. My workout routine is pretty vigorous, but always evolving, and the info on dieting is exactly what I was looking for. Can't say it enough, but I'll say it again anyway... thank you!

Hey Hampton. Good to hear man. Cottage cheese is good before bed just because it's a slow releasing protein that lasts long enough in your system til you wake up. Any casein protein is fine, they make powders to drink too. If you go to bed on an empty stomach, your body could be using up muscle you work hard for so it's important to get some casein in your system before bed to protect this from happening. It's pretty noticeable after a little while of doing it.

Thanks for all the great advice! I'm an aspiring model and your page has enlightened me that I am heading in the right direction to attain my goals.
One question, why cottage cheese before bed?

Hey, you seem like a very determined down to earth guy. I myself want to be a male model as a career. I have my first big modeling this Friday, black Friday at hollister co. In the mall. I wil be a shirtless greater. I was signed through abercrombie and fitch to do it. I am about 6 foot, 175 lbs. I have very good muscle mass, esp. Chest. And pretty good deffinition in my abs. I guess I'm getting at what can I do to make myself better than the next guy and become a male fitness model. I am just as conscious about my diet, as my workoutplan. Also I use to use creatine, but for me my body bloat off creatine. Even protein powders. By the way I am 18, senior in high school. Thanks man for any help. I'm going to be like you some day. hey chuck, i'm curious about the diet leading up to a photo shoot. I want to be able to look as lean and ripped as much as possible but be able to preserve my muscle as well. Also what are the workouts like leading up to a photo shoot are you still lifting relatively heavy. When should you start preparing and start to change the workout and diet, how many weeks out ? i would appreciate it if you got back to me . my email is apep.pitsilia@yahoo.ca

I'm a 15 year old girl. I do road races, cross country, track, and am working up to a marathon. I have also done tons of research and have changed my diet quite a bit over the past few years. Now the only processed foods I have are pretty much peanut butter, and.... that's pretty much it. I'm not overly restrictive with my diet and am not suffering in any way; I just don't crave junk food anymore. It doesn't really register as food. :)
Despite how much I exercise, I still have a lot of adominal fat, as well as my arms and glutes. I seem to gain weight relatively easily, but I was in amazing shape last year. Then I was hit by a car while running last fall and gained about 5-7 pounds. When I resumed running in the spring, I lost a few, maybe three(?) pounds, though I CAN NOT LOSE THE EXCESS WEIGHT! I am very dedicated to a healthy lifestyle and I love it, so I'd like to be in the best shape possible.
Do you have any suggestions? I know you're a male fitness model, but do you know of any reason why this could be?

    Thanks!

I'm a 15 year old (turning 16 later this week though) living in england considering doing fitness modeling alongside school. I keep pretty fit and lean but I'm not a fan of bodybuilding, I was wondering to be in the kind of business do you have to have huge muscles, or is it more just being lean and defined (obviously with some pretty decent muscles). Also, is it possible to do alongside school or is it more of a full-time devotion.
And (last question i promise :P) how do you actually get into the business?

I am 26 years old about 5'10 and 170lbs about 16% body fat. I want to achieve that male lean model look but I do not know if I should bulk up or cut first. What do you recommend and how many calories should I take in. Thanks so much
