Where Can I Find Money on the Ground

I Found Some Money

I find if I watch where I am going thoughout my life, I will find money all along the way. It is amazing how much people lose just walking from the car to the building. This lens is meant to explore some of my favorite places to search for loose change. I find if I am really looking I can come home with several coins everyday. With a little direction, I think you can do the same thing.

Places You Can Look for Change

I find change here all the time

  • Watch the ground between your car and whatever building you are walking towards. People drop change all the time when they are pulling their keys from their pockets.

  • Coin Returns of vending machines. I always stick a finget into the coin return when I walk by a vending machine. once in a while I will find change.

  • look under the vending machines. If you are a little more adventurous, you can get down on your hands and knees and look for dropped change beneath those same vending machines.

  • Under Benches, Chairs, and Stadium Seating. Pant Pockets are not all made very well. I have personally losts change, pens and just about anything else that I store in my pockets when I sit down in public. I check that I have everything when I leave, but not everyone does. Take a look under those benches outside your grocer, or under the waiting room chairs. You might even take a leisurly stoll under the high school bleachers after a football game. You might be surprised at what you find.

  • Glance between cars as you walk through the parking lot towards a store or other business. People loose change when they pull their keys out of their pockets.

  • In the parking lot, I will look into the bushes or at the base of the bushes. If someone has dropped dollar bills, they will have been blown by the wind into corners and under these bushes. It is always good to glance over these places as you walk past them.

  • If there is an arcade or a laundry mat near places you shop at, take a walk through them and look briefly around the machines and under the benches. People always drop coins in these areas.

  • Take a metal detector to the park. Walk around the bleachers at the baseball, soccer and football fields. You will be surprised at what falls out of people's pockets when they are watching the game.
  • Old Penny Machines

Make Sure You Check Under Any Machine That Takes Coins

Whenever I go to the Grocery Store or one of the Big Box Stores, I always make sure I walk by the vending machines they have at the front of the store or right outside the front doors. I will slip my finders in the coin return in case someone did not pick up their change. I will also take a quick look under the machine itself. sometimes I will find dropped coins.

I remember when I was a little girl there used to be people who had metal detectors on the beach, that was many moons ago, but I wonder if they still can find old coins that way.

I almost always find money when I'm out and about the best I've done is $20 twice, more recently I found $5. Another great thing about watching where you step is that you never step in dog poo either :)
      Great lens :D

I found a twenty dollar bill on the ground and checked it alittle later and therre were two of them. Another time I found two tens. Sometimes I would find a dollar bill-not very often, then some change. I found the money (bills) uptown, and the change in a parking lot and other places. I am trying to keep an outlook for any money where ever I go.

I have a blog (Found Money in the Street) and track the money I find. Love it! I found a twenty dollar bill before I started my blog. Great lens!

The most I've found at one time was a twenty dollar bill. It was at a flea market.

Found £5 when it was a weeks wages for someone (long time ago) but have also found money picking up other people's litter. If we all did that the planet would be cleaner and we may be richer (just a thought)!

Once I found about $2 in change in the street. First I saw a quarter, then some more quarters, dimes, nickels. But the most I've found was a $10 bill in the street near a convenience store. What did I do with it? Put it in my pocket.
