Dollar Origami
This is a picture index of money origami instructions. Below each picture below there is a link to instructions to make your own.
Dollar or money origami is origami that is made using paper currency. These designs use the U.S. dollar which is 6.6cm by 15.59cm. Quite a few of these dollar origami instructions should work with other rectangular currency, so if you don't have dollars available, take a look anyway.
There are different reasons for taking up money origami. Nicely folded money can make a fun and memorable tip. Leave the waitress a dollar or two in one of these shapes, and chances are she'll remember you next time you come in. Next time you need to give a cash gift, fold the bill into something fun first. A little origami makes cold hard cash a little more personal. Money origami leis are especially popular graduation gifts in Hawaii.
Be aware that folding up paper money is not a good idea in all countries. I'm told that in India worn or creased bills won't be accepted by merchants.
