The Moo Crew Movie Review

Ranked #9,252 in Pets & Animals, #235,027 overall | Donates to Epic Farms

The equines at Epic Farms neigh in on their favorite horse flicks...and a few books too

We just love movies around here, how about you? Of course we're always on the lookout for great horse movies; equines being our favorite subject and all. Since we don't have cable (although we are up to 3 whole channels :o) we tend to watch a LOT of movies, either from a bargain bin somewhere or purchased used at Movie Gallery or Amazon.com.

With entertainment in mind, we thought we'd take an unofficial survey of sorts and ask our pals in the pasture to talk about their favorite horse movies...Be sure to read their descriptions!

Shadow's Top 5

[in a very particular order]

Shadow rated "Black Beauty" as his all time favorite flick to watch with a nice big roll of hay (popcorn bothers his ulcers). He vows, however, that he's definitely MUCH better looking than that silly old quarter horse they picked :o)

Champ's Choices

Champ chose "Cirque du Soleil" as his personal favorite (he got so into it, he decided to play Ringmaster and even talked Cinnamon into pretending to be the circus pony...)

Loading

Cinnamon's Selections

He selected "Hidalgo" as his favorite flick, although he DID express his opinion rather bluntly over the casting of "That ugly Paint horse for the lead" (it should have been an Appy!)

Retta's Reviews

Retta raved about "Annie Get Your Gun" and said that with the deterioration of her eyesight, she absolutely loved settling down and just listening to all of the wonderful music in this movie.

Max's Moovies

He must be at the theater 'cause he's picking his seat :o)

Max chose "Dreamer" as his favorite movie to watch (mostly because of Sonya who he called "the babe" <-- those were his exact words :o)

What's your favorite horse movie?

Don't really have one? That's okay, but don't run away without saying hay! (Ha)
