Hello,

I am a Registered Nurse in the area of Diabetes. I have seen a brochure for your product and browsed your online site. i have a concern and a few questions.

1. I would like to clarify the potassium level in the Moringa capsule. the brochure it says "15 bananas...or something like this" - is this PER CAPSULE? I have high blood pressure and am taking an ARB/Diuretic - Diovan 80mg PLUS Hctz 12.5 mg. I was WARNED about a salt substitute once regarding increasing the POTASSIUM level for me. Would taking the MORINGA pill and my MEDICATION together cause me HARM????

2. I counsel DIABETIC patients and many are always trying to use SUPPLEMENTS to control or CURE elevated (high) blood sugar levels. Your brochure states that the MORINGA pill LOWERS blood glucose levels. Do you know if it can cause HYPOGLYCEMIA - which is unhealthy LOW levels of Blood Sugar?????

Again, would the MORINGA pill INTERACT with INSULIN or any other medication for Diabetes??????

Your online website states the WORLD HEALTH ORGANIZATION uses the MORINGA capsule on INFANTS. Would this be safe if a Diabetic Patient was a CHILD? (type 1 diabetes).

I would appreciate a response. i would be better able to make a decision for myself and in counseling patients

Drug companies don't want people to know about Moringa because they want to sell drugs. Even Health Food stores don't carry it for the same reasons, they want to sell an assortment of supplements! Even though Moringa has been used for over two thousand years treating over 300 ailments there is not much data on it that can be translated into western culture. Even the World Health Organization (WHO) has little information even though they are treating malnutrition successfully all over Africa and have been doing so for 50 years. So I can't answer your questions specifically but I can give your some general information that will probably help you.

First, don't think of Moringa as a drug OR a supplement. It's a FOOD. Since it's not a drug there are no drug interactions. Since it's not a supplement you can't compare this many mgs of potassium to that many mgs of moringa. Since it is a food, wrapped up in a capsule form, the nutrients of Moringa go to the places in the body wherever the body is lacking in nutrients. Most supplements go right through you or knock the body's chemistry off in one way or another. This is what makes Moringa so amazing. If any of your patients have an ailment that's caused by a nutritional deficiency you should start with Moringa and add from there.

We recommend 1-4 capsules per day for adults. This is an overly safe dosage and we encourage people to self dose which is easy because you will actually feel the Moringa, in terms of energy and mental acuity, after taking it. Each capsule is 1/2 gram so the maximum we recommend for adults is 2 grams per day. The WHO gives a standard amount of 4 grams/day to malnourished babies and 8 grams/day to pregnant and lactating women. That's equal to 8 capsules/day for babies and 16 capsules/day for adults. How nontoxic is that! We know some baseball players who take a dozen before every game with only positive results.
