Morning At Last

I am the type of sound sleeper who rarely remembers a dream. I won't share all of it here but one morning, not long ago, I woke from a very vivid dream. In my dream I was being asked to purchase a dresser. If you opened the drawers the normal way, they looked empty but somehow I knew to slide them sideways. When I did, they were crammed full of things like deeds and wills and silverware that had been there a long time. Most of it looked dried up and beyond use but when I started to take it out of the dresser, it instantly came back to perfect condition.

If I knew what the dresser represented, I would understand the dream.

Unfortunately, no one seemed to be able to interpret it. Then one day in prayer, the Holy Spirit told me that the dresser represented many churches that looked empty and lifeless. I knew then that each item represented the gifts and callings on someone's life. They looked like they were dead but it is time to pick them up, prophesy life and watch Him breathe on them again.

There is so much more to share about this that I had to write a book.

It is getting scary to listen to the daily news. When you have spent your life working and saving for your retirement, there's little comfort in a stock market that gets sicker every day. Then you add somebody like Bernard Madoff who found his niche sucking off investors to the tune of 50 billion dollars and you wonder how much more this financial system can take.

The Bible tells us that in the last days men will be without natural affection, lovers of self and pleasure rather than lovers of God (2Tim3). It also says that everything that can be shaken, will be shaken.(Heb 12:27)

Rather than being surprised when these things take place, we need to reexamine our relationship with the God who cannot be shaken. It is only by developing confidence in Him that we will overcome the fear that is spreading through our Society.

There really is light breaking through the darkness but you have to open your eyes to see it.

Like me, there are many people who have gone through the Charismatic, Word of Faith, Pentecostal, Non-denominational,__________(fill in your blank here)movements. We have had many wonderful words spoken over us. Some were of God and others - not so much. It's been a long time. Many of us have been dissatisfied with churches or abused by the leadership. Some of us have had our money stolen and our dreams stomped on.

It has been a very difficult time and I have watched some very talented brothers and sisters fall by the wayside, burned, broken and discouraged. Many of them have turned their backs on any form of church and don't even want to talk about God. It simply hurts too much.

The thing of it is though, there is a new wind of the Spirit blowing. You can run from God but He knows exactly where you are and He is calling you again. When you finally stop struggling, you will find that there has been purpose in all of it but you are going to have to trust that He loves you and that the end will be better than the beginning.

I didn't know I was going to write Morning At Last! but how else can I share what He has given me to encourage so many people in so many places?

Be encouraged, the sun is coming up and a new day is dawning. It truly is Morning At Last!

Ok, the economy is crappy and the dollar is dropping not only in the States but throughout the world. So what does that say about the Morning At Last message? I can answer that with another question. If Jesus emphatically stated that He would never leave nor forsake us and would send a Comforter, His Spirit to be with us, what makes you think that depends on the economy doing well? God is not limited by our circumstances. When things get bad, it's the perfect time to trust Him to get us through it. Despite what many prosperity preachers proclaim, being blessed by God does not depend on your bank statement. It's time for us to shake off the fluff and become the true sons and daughters of God who can stand in the midst of shakings and trust Him.
