For Mothers day this year Why not do something special alongside buying your mum a great gift? The latest crazy, and a great one at that, is writing a Mothers day poem. Maybe a time to turn the tables on our own Moms. I don't know about your's. Mine loves me to write and not just an email or SMS text!

Mothers day poetry adds something to a special gift

Mother's day poems are making a great come back for Mother's day 2009. Bravo I say. The challenge is if you don't write much and think you are not creative where do you start? Well a great way to start the process is to brain storm some of the things your mum has done for you over the years. Then you can build your poem around this.

To get the creative juices going I have listed a couple of ideas below that I know will stimulate the old brain cells for you that you can expand on.

Just put your self in the same position and think of the unique events where your Mother has touched your life.

So how about this one. To start with

1. Mum's always pick us up when we fall.

This is a great topic I am sure we could all writes pages and pages about and makes an ideal start for your Mother's day poem.

Now as you cast our mind back I am sure you will think of times when your mother has picked you up when we were young. Perhaps a teenager, young or not so young adult.

I know when I think back to so many times in my life that my Mom was always there for me.

Now obviously Mothers day is a great time to give gifts and hey you can always surprise your Mother with a gift or poem and not just on Mothers' day either.

I imagine now you have been taken back in time to when you cried on her shoulder and likely never said thanks. You probably felt it? You just forgot to tell her at the time. Well this Mothers day 2009 is a time to show her you remembered and appreciated it with a card containing a Mothers day poem that is attached to a

Life has moved on and there are so many different things to buy your Mom. Not only flowers. What about a wind chime or something for the garden?

Ok let's be honest it is only you and me here reading and writing this. I have made some huge mistakes in my life and my mother knew about most of them and loved me anyway. Even the time I forgot to send flowers on her birthday. Yikes.

creative idea. I know she will really value you aknowledgement of what happened.

As you can probably tell by now, with a little thought you can come up with lots of ideas for subjects to write about for a Mothers day poem to go along side a special mothers day gift.
