As its National Memo Day, I am returning to your lens, as it is one I blessed in January, have not forgotten about those great toys which I am still going to crochet some day.I see the blessing has worn off, so I will bless it again. Blessed.

    Thanks for sharing. Blessed

Ohh, these are gorgeous. I'd like to feature them on my 'International Fat Quarters & Thin Dimes' lens with your express permission. Are there any charitable donations (of any kind) of your beautiful work? I'd like to make mention of it (even to a neonatal unit at a local hospital or women's shelter)? Please, let me know after checking out my lens (I'd be putting your work alongside 3 other American lensmasters :) The link to the lens is: http://www.squidoo.com/fat-quarters

This was so interesting to hear about your adventures in selling online on etsy, your animals are adorable. They seem to be filled with the love and pride you put into bringing them to life. Thank you for sharing with us.

Your story of learning how to get it all going sounds so familiar! I had to chuckle since my own learning digital-camera started at Etsy, too. Every enjoyable story of your shop. And such cute animals. Definitely Angel Blessed* and featured on Angelography.
  • DecoratingforEvents Sep 16, 2010 @ 12:55 pm | delete
Awesome! You are very talented. My grandmother taught me how to crochet a hot pad and that's about all I can do there! LOL
  • prosperity66 Sep 15, 2010 @ 9:09 pm | delete
Hey, Pat! I love that green bear!
  • paperfacets Sep 15, 2010 @ 9:06 pm | delete
This is very interesting and sounds familiar. I have a hard time keeping my Etsy shop stocked with new cards. I do better at shows and fairs and Etsy gets short changed because of that. I do not want to close it because I have so many connections to it after 4 1/2 years.
If I did not fold I would crochet or try. Those directions are crazy.

That is so sweet of you to feature my Jungle Set lens here.. Your critters are so cute I had to do my part exposing them to the world

Sunshine Sally is just the cutest, I wanted to learn crocheting, but I am left handed, boy is that not fun, no matter how and what way I cannot do it, Video tutorials? for left handed people!
I am glad you little critters have all found loving and happy homes.

I love this lens! I crochet, but have only ever made one stuffed toy and that was over 25 years ago. I've recently learned to crochet socks, but I like knitted socks better. Your story about the first sale being to another internet commerce newbie was delightful and I can SOOOOO identify with your struggles upon setting up your Etsy store. Congratulations on a great lens and on your sales success!
  • JaguarJulie Aug 24, 2010 @ 3:58 pm | delete
Oh ... yes indeed I did enjoy my journey through your "land of crochet." Crochet makes me smile just thinking about it ... and thinking about sitting with my grandma and watching her show me how to do it. Those were the days!

My favorite on this page is the green baby bear :-) But the others are so cute too. I also like your section on "Look Before You Leap". It's amazing that a little determination gets us through these hurdles!

These are wonderful! My grandmother used to crochet tons of animals, clothing, and more for everyone in the family. Although she is not here now, my children still play with some of the ones she made for me - very special memories with them. You have some adorable animals! I hope your store is doing well for you.

my first lens I called Gifts Galore and More....and put marsha32 (my usual username) as the url ending! I had no clue what I was doing. That lens is still there, and even though I did build a lensography, pretty much the GGAM lens is one too.

I also love to crochet...always projects in the works.

I think this is a wonderful lens. You did a very good job with it. It takes time to learn the ins and outs of everything we do. I am still learning thank goodness :0) I love your crocheting. I use to do a good bit of crocheting, I call it my nerve medicine. It keeps my hands busy while my mind trys to figure out things. (laughs) Keep up the fantastic work, I look forward to see more of your lenses. "Blessed by a SquidAngel"

Oh, yes, the "skip a few pages and they'll never notice but they always do" trick. Tried that a few times myself and failed each time. :) Loved your take on reading to your children and the advice from your friend. Your crochet work is so sweet, too! Nice job :)

Welcome to Squidoo...I'm looking forward to reading more of your lenses...it looks like we have a lot in common. I'm a big Cardinal fan..we spend the month of March down in Jupiter for spring training. i also have a son that lives in KC. I too have lived in Columbia, MO and my favorite books are mysteries! An oh yes, OHME has been the biggest inspiration for me since I've started Squidoo!

I love to crochet, but I just learned how to do it a couple of years ago. My grandmother taught my sisters but refused to teach me. I'm left handed so she figured teaching me would be a waste of time. I'm not very good at it yet but I'm getting there.
    Thanks for sharing

Great Lens, Patricia! I used to crochet all the time but haven't in years. It was a great way to always have wedding and baby shower gifts ready and waiting when needed.

Patricia - just has to stop by to say thank you for being the sweetheart that you are, and for visiting me once again in my little Squidoo corner. I love your crochet work, like I think I may have said before...that part of my brain is missing to do kind of work.
    Have wonderful summer!

Your animals are TOO CUTE! I love books, too. Used to sell them for awhile on Ebay until this economy went south. Nice to meet someone who loves them, too. As for baseball, I cry everytime I watch Field of Dreams. Wish my boys would play the game, but they love soccer. A mom can only force 'em to do so much.
Thanks for the friendly welcome to the group!

Hi Bonnie. Thanks so much for visiting my first attempt at a lens here on Squidoo. You have so many terrific and helpful lenses that I can't wait to make more lenses and follow in your footsteps. My goal someday, starting with 'baby steps', is to be a Giant Squid and get to know you better through your Giant Squid program.

See, I wanted to comment here, not where the baseball stuff is...so sorry, Pat. This is a very huge lens...Mine's so short compared to yours. I'll have to work on that...whilst still getting some crocheting done and walking the Gizz because he's already upset with me for being on the computer all day yesterday and now today.

I'm glad to see a familiar "face" here on Squidd...

Glad to see all the nice visits you're getting from the squidoo community and hope you're enjoying it. R.E. Ozzie Smith... I can remember him jumping in the air and cutting a flip when he did something good... what an athlete! Clemson's baseball field was selected the best in the nation two years ago and you would enjoy the games there. Thanks for your visit to my new lens and see you soon.

Thanks for the sweet compliment on my baby dragon and for the welcome to Squidoo. I do know about the Etsy module and will be trying it out on my next lens about my Etsy crocheted 'critters' :-).

Thanks for the visit, Julie. I didn't know you knew Nancy & Joan. They are the reason I'm now 'Squidooing' (:-} . Such special ladies. Enjoy your crocheting....

Welcome to Squidoo -- I was sure you knew Joan and Nancy since I read you were in Pendleton. I absolutely adore crochet -- from dolls to doilies, afghans and clothing. Crochet brings back such loving memories of my grandmother. Thanks for taking time to drop by today. Wishing you the best on Squidoo.

Interesting lens, especially opening Etsy shop with your crafts after making them for your children and grandchildren for so long. Being English, I know nothing about baseball but I have my own sports passions like tennis and athletics so I can understand. Good luck here on Squidoo.

The crocheted dragon is cool! Nice work, these look great. Good luck with your etsy store. I believe there's an etsy module you can use to showcase your items, too. Welcome to Squidoo!
  • Mountainside-Crochet Mar 16, 2009 @ 8:34 am | in reply to PamZ | delete
Hi Pam, thanks for your note. When I visited your lens, I didn't know that you were another South Carolinian :) How cool is that!

I LOVE baseball ... my family has to put up with my enthusiasm all through baseball season and listen to me 'whine' during the winter months while I go through baseball 'withdrawal'. I like to watch the Astros too. I'm mostly a fan of the National League teams because seems I've always lived in NL TV markets where those are the teams we get to see, except for growing up in NY State, then I followed the Yankees.

Have fun crocheting your baby blanket, and congratulations on becoming a 'grandma'. I love my 3 young grandsons - wish they lived closer. They are 12, 10 and 7. If you need any crochet help, let me know.

Have fun on Squidoo. I've been spending 'hours' at a time learning my way around, so can relate to your 'locker' reference :).
  • PamZ Mar 16, 2009 @ 8:11 am | delete
Hi Mountainside Crochet! We have some things in common! Thanks for your comments on my lens. If you hadn't commented, I wouldn't have known about you...that you live in South Carolina like I do. I live in Greenville. I like to crochet, too, but I can't do anything but scarves. LOL! I taught myself to croche a few years ago when I was living in the Pocono Mountains of Pennsylvania (they have long, cold winters -- beautiful, but BRRRRR!), so everyone gets a new scarf at Christmas. I'm expecting my first grandchild and I'm making her a....okay, not a scarf, but a baby blanket...and it's really just a wide, short scarf. :-) I love baseball, too! I lived most of my life in Houston, Texas, and am a huge fan of the Astros (okay, we usually call them the L'Astros or Last-tros). I really enjoyed your lensography and didn't even know that word until today. But I've only been a squid since last Friday and am still trying to find my locker and remember its combination. See ya!

Welcome Patricia. Your creativity will go far here. Doing your Lensography is a great way to start. You can now add a new lens to your Lensography as you create them. Great idea. 5 stars, favorite and I'm a FAN! P.S. Thanks for your notes on Cats Rule. How To Select Your New Master. Bear hugs, Frankster aka Bearmeister aka Cat-Woman.

So pleased you came by. I agree that writing about what you are passionate about makes the words flow more easily. You can tell how much I love Baseball. I'll keep in mind doing a female detective by a female author lens down the road. Have more I want to add to this, my first, lens yet, then..... maybe!
  • Mickie_G Mar 8, 2009 @ 3:19 pm | delete
You have two great mentors! Nice first lens so I have joined your fanclub so I won't miss your progress!

Write a new lens about the female detective who has a female creator and come join my "Girls Detecting" Group

I have discovered that my best lenses are about things I really am passionate about.

Hooray Pat... You got it done... and did a fine job on your first lens! Aren't we lucky to have Nancy and Joan's help to break into the great community? There really are a wonderful and interesting group of people who squidoo and you will enjoy it immensely! We will have to get some more Pendletonian's involved and start a Pendleton group! 5*s and favored!

You're so sweet. Thanks for the comps. I actually crochet backwards (or at least in reverse - left arm or leg becomes the right arm or leg or vice versa) because I do it 'left-handed'.

Mountainside, I love your cute crochet creations. - The part of the brain that is needed to do crocheting seems to be missing for me. - I admire people who do it!
    Love your lens! - Susie

    * big waves * and welcome to Squidoo! You have some very nice friends! Promote your Etsy shop through Squidoo! I have two tutorials to help you; one for the Etsy module and the other using the RSS module. We just got the new Add Modules in our Workshop Tools, so I will have to update those lenses with new print screens. - Kathy
