Portabello Mushroom Recipe
A Quick and Easy Appetizer
PORTABELLO APPETIZER RECIPE
Portabello mushrooms - *Cleaned: washed** and stems removed***
(approximately 10 medium sized mushrooms, 6 inches in diameter)
EVOO Extra-virgin olive oil (approximately 1 cup)
Sprinkle or baste top and bottom of mushrooms
Place mushrooms on baking dish with gilled side up.
Butter (3 Tablespoons)
Butter underside/gilled end of mushrooms
Finely, chopped garlic (1 teaspoon)
Sprinkle chopped garlic on underside of mushrooms
Bake mushrooms at 350 degrees until cooked.
(approximately 15 minutes but please watch them)
Slice and serve hot.
** Just make sure you wash them right before you intend to prepare them. I like to wash mushrooms though most mushroom preparations call for them to just be dusted off.
*** Stems make for delicious soup stock!
