Have you introduced your children to classical music and composer study? If not, I hope this lens will help to inspire you to do so. Johann Sebastian Bach is by far one of the most famous composers, though in his lifetime he was known more as an organist than as a composer. In his native Germany, the word Bach is synonymous with music.

In our home, we began our study of Bach with a brief introduction to his music with Themes to Remember. A humorous application of lyrics to help young children remember not only the name of the composer, but the title of the piece as well. We then dived into a study of Bach by reading biographies, locating his country on a map, creating a notebooking page, and of course listening to his music whenever possible.
