All About My Cats

These are the cats that I have owned or babysit. I loved them and they kept me company while I was doing my degree in Australia.

I used to have a website with geocities that wrote about my cats while I was in Australia. Even since I have graduate from my university, I have created a blog with blogger just for my cats. I have moved most of my articles and photos to this cat blog.

However, due to too much commitment on my part, my cat blog was abandoned. I used to update pet's event in Singapore and most of the posting was outdated. I have decided to shut down my blog and move most of the interesting stories here.

This lens will feature all the cats in my life. Brownie and Mui Mui are my present cats and you can visit them at http://www.squidoo.com/My2Cats. The rest were all the cats I have babysit when I was doing my degree in Australia.

Do you prefer cats to dogs?

Of course, I prefer cats to dogs. Cats are clean and they are seldom noisy.

Yes, I love cats more than dogs.

Dahlya Seraphina says:

Of course i prefer cats more , but sometimes little sight of stray dogs looking for home and warmth still sticked to my heart and i symphatized them ...
But cats and dogs are often been hurted with many ways , and that is by humans .
I have 2 cats at home , really cute ones ...
When they are realesed outside to play , they bring they new friends , stray cats , and play with them at the yard , i wanted to keep them but my mum didn't let me cause i already have 2 of them (really naughty ones )
Almost everytime i cried seeing stayed cats and dogs searching for the warmth of love , and i cried when there are cats or dogs being hurted by humans ...
I love cats and other dog creatures cause they have feelings too , just like us ...

kt_glasses says:

Definitely! I love cats much more than dogs, since they are more independent and funny.

Greekgeek says:

I've known a few good dogs and a lot of annoying ones (including the yapper two doors down). I have known dozens of exquisite cats.

WendyKrick says:

I guess since I have a cat I would have to say my vote is for cats!

No, I think dogs are more lovely.

Hiking-Hong-Kong says:

It's kind of ironic. I love the outdoors and I love dogs as a result. However since I am allergic to them, I currently have one cat and have fostered many in the past. Cats are lovely too, but in a different way. I did try to foster a dog once but my cat Pickles wasn't too happy when a puppy his size came into the house!

Mel

My very first cat.

Mel

My very first cat.

This was what Mel has to say.

Mel: Meow! Meow! I am Mel, from Newcastle, Australia. I used to stay in Waratah in Newcastle, but I was a stray cat then. I meet this girl there, and she started feeding me and giving me a place to stay. I am not in Waratah anymore and I have moved with this girl to Jesmond. I have grew very fat and beautiful and I am no longer suffering from hunger. This girl was always wondering about my age and I am always very sensitive about the question. I am not going to tell her !

My hobbies were sleeping, eating, watching birds and dating. I hated dogs (especially Bill), dancing, bathing and Pilamid (My humans housemate)! Maybe you must be wondering why I dance. Well, life was sometime quite boring in Newcastle. So my owner would turn on Madonna's concert music and made me dance! I enjoy dating and I must go out of the house everyday. My litter box was the big outside world in the nature.

My owner had try to make me a home cat. I poo in Pilamid's wardrobe and do all the nasty things in the house, so that my humans will let me out.

Mel is lost during our school vacation when we have to come back to Singapore. We left Mel with a Korean girl because she told us that she will be staying in Newcastle, Australia. When we came back three months later, we realize that the Korean girl had went back home. We have try to find her but without success.

Garfield

My second cat.

Garfield

My 2nd cat in Australia

Garfield was given to us by another Korean girl. She gave the cat to us because she has to go back to Korea and she knows that we will take good care of Garfield.

Since we knew that we are not going to stay in Australia for good, we had been looking for an Australian cat lover who will take care of Garfield for the rest of her life. I do not want Garfield to be pass on from students to student as we know that it is not good for her. Garfield was finally given to my housemate driving instructor, who was an Australian cat lover before we left.

However, when we wanted to visit Garfield when we came back, her new owner told us that she lost Garfield when she allowed her to play in the garden outside. We never see Garfield again. I miss Garfield a lot. I really miss the way she sleep on my lap like a baby.

I miss the way we chase after her until our nasty neighbour from below came knocking at our door. I miss the days when we bring Garfield for a car ride. Oh yes, she is the only cat I owned that loves car rides.

“Look at your humans with sweet innocent eyes when they are eating. You will get a portion.”

Ronaldo and Rambo

Our 3rd & 4th cats

Ronaldo and Rambo

2 persian cats

Rambo and Ronaldo (Ronnie) were step brothers with the same dad and different moms. The photos were taken when Rambo was 10 months old and Ronnie was 6 months old. We babysitted them for a year because one of their owners was pregnant. After we have return the cats to their owners, they actually flew them back to Malaysia on the 19th Nov 1998. We were all missing them so much.

Rambo

my 3rd cat

Rambo Said...

"Hi, I am Rambo, and they called me Lion King. I was born in Dec 1997 and I have a birth certificate. I was jealous of Ronnie most of the time because he got a more beautiful coat than mine. My humans said that I look actually like my dad and was very macho. Maybe the reason why I behaved very mature was because I was jealous! I do not enjoy playing when Ronnie was around, so I chose not to play. Actually, I was very playful and my humans can see that when Ronnie was not around. My humans said that I was overweight, but I dun care. I kept eating as long as I wanted to, so that I can squash Ronnie when we fight."

Ronaldo Said...

"I just cannot understand why my humans like to squash me, kiss me, and I just dun like being hugged too tight. I like the attention that was given to me but sometime I just hate to see my owner brushing Rambo fur and not mine. Maybe I always try to bite them when they were brushing my fur."

Russ

Russ

Russ was one of my girlfriend's cat. She has visited our house a few times and I only know that she was about one year old when I took these pictures. She was very shy and behave really well.

Then there is this stray cat...

Stray Cat Said...

"Hi, I was a stray cat from Newcastle road in Australia. I was always being kidnapped by these humans but they will return me back to the old place the next day. Well, being kidnapped was not as bad, as you get free good food and milk. And the best of all, you get a warm place to sleep in winter."
