Our story
It was 4pm on a Sunday afternoon on July 2001. Me and my boyfriend (now husband) was on the way to my mom's place. We went to a wet market near our place because my husband wanted to withdraw some money from a bank.
While waiting for my husband, I saw seven kitties in a big box in the wet market. They look very young and they could hardly walk. All of them will meowing at me.
My husband walked over and asked me if I will like to keep them. I said I have to call my mom first and asked her if she mind having a cat in her house. My mom told me that she do not mind as long as I am responsible for the cat.
I picked up Brownie first as he look so pretty. He was the only kitten that was all brown. Then I cannot decide between Mui Mui and the other cat. I think I can handle only 2 cats so I have to decide fast while my husband went around the market looking for a small box.
After a while, I decided that I will choose Mui Mui because he look more friendly. We took the cats back to my mom's place and it was there that we realize that these 2 cats really stink. They need a bath badly.
My mom bathe them while we rush to a pet shop to buy some stuffs for them. We brought some dry cat food, a can of milk powder (just in case that they are too young to eat dry food), cat shampoo and a cat bowl.
When we return to my mom's place, the cats were hiding under the fridge because they were freezing after the bath. My mom had used our shampoo on them. We gave them a bowl of milk which they did not touch at all and some dry food.
That was how Brownie and Mui Mui came into my life.

First Vet Visit
We brought our kittens to the vet on the next weekend. The vet check the cats and told us to buy some fleas powder for the kittens as they do have fleas on their body. He then gave all the necessary injections to the kittens and told us that the kittens were around 2 or 3 weeks old.I then declared that my cats were born on 19 July 2001.

How many names do you have?
Mui Mui: My official name is Mui Mui. My humans always call me Muses or Musezzzzzz. Sometimes they called me "Chao Ah Beng". Recently, they start calling me "Ah Mui"
Brownie: My humans like to call me Brownieeeeee.
Where do you always do you scratching?
Mui Mui: At the scratching post because my humans always praise me when I do that. When they are not around, I will do it at the wooden wall next to the main door.
Brownie: Ditto. If I forget, I will do it at the sofa.

After the rejection from Brownie and Mui Mui, we drive her back to where we have found her.

In fact, they have been fighting and hugging each other since young.

- This lens reminds me of my two cats who were adopted in Hong Kong, Pickles & Pumpkin. Unfortunately Pumpkin passed away at 2.5 years of age, but you can read about him in my tribute to Pumpkin lens. We have also fostered many cats in Hong Kong - I just love helping them out!

- Your cats are gorgeous, and your tabby - Brownie - looks a lot like my tabby! I couldn't help laughing when I saw your old sofa because that is exactly what ours looked like too before we had it reupholstered. (: Enjoyed my stay here.
