quite an interesting hobby although I never did ever use a metal detector before. I know I can get hooked on this past time adventure and that is why I have been holding back until today. Regards Ruben

These are a ton of fun. I can't believe you have so many of them. It's hard enough figuring one of these out, you must have a ton of patience!

Well at the end of sept 2011 Gold was at about $1800 per troy oz. Being where i live I have yet to find gold coins. I have found other treasures like lost and buried hot wheels and match box cars, While not worth a lot they do cause me to stop and remember my own lost toys from years ago.

Hey there Mr Bass! Greeting from Singapore! Randomly landed up on your page from msn...this page seems really intriguing...do you think it'll be applicable to try this on Singaporean shores? Most importantly how do i find a metal detector suitable for hunting?

Hi Larry, Great lens, it not only entertained me, but I found it highly informative and interesting. I have a Bounty Hunter Quick Draw II myself and I feature Bounty Hunter model detectors etc, on my own lens so detecting is certainly a great interest for me and I recommend it to everyone.
    Warm Regards,

We've watched people with their metal detectors on the beaches of Florida and I always wondered what was the most interesting thing they ever found. Great lens!

I think I might look into this as a fun hobby, some day. I wonder if there are any "treasures" on the beach in SE Alaska - nobody ever walks there, but lots of stuff comes in from the ocean, of course. 5*s

We used to do this as kids. It was a lot of fun! I never found anything "great" but my sister found a ring once.
