Forget About Stopping the World I Want To Get Off
Like many of us, I have always been curious about the 'internet'. However, five years ago, I didn't know how to turn a computer on,and accessing the net or who Internet Explorer or AOL was, all of that was way beyond my comprehension. Back then I was locked into the 9-5 scenario. I kept saying 'one day I will get into this...one day'.
Well, that day came, the door to the net was flung wide open, and at the time I was ready, so I stepped in. Wow, what an incredible day that was. Overwhelmed, yes I was; Unsure of what I was doing, yes I was; Uncertain of where I should begin, you betcha.
But I stayed, and not a day goes by that I don't learn something totally new, get involved in a different aspect of 'working from home' and building my online business via the web. Sometimes I even connect and find new acquaintances here in cyberspace.
I am here for 'the long haul' and loving every minute of it.

The net has become my classroom, my workspace, my livelihood. My years of parenting and living on a budget has produced a 'frugal filly' and I become wired, whenever I happen upon a deep discounted article.
Just don't let me discover an item that I have been eying and dying to get, on sale for 75% off...OMGosh do I ever become JAZZ'D. Anyway I said all of this, to say that I apply the essence of that philosophy, which is 'why pay full price...find the best bargain or wait for the inevitable discount', to the programs that I am attracted to on the net. If the Affiliate Program that I am viewing has a minimal out of the pocket expense, then I may try it, but if it is FREE, then what do I have to lose. So even here I look for cost effective programs with the most complete system that I can find.
In a nutshell, I am drawn to programs that 'don't take more than they give'.
Whenever I find a program that meets my criteria, I will list it here so that all of my visitors can also 'take home something worth-while' from viewing my lens. In the last few months there have been many PTC programs that have come and gone. And there are many reasons for such a turn around in this industry.
Many of the individuals that start these programs are not actually prepared for the commitment, dedication and focus that's required to maintain a successful PTC site.
Some owner's are just too young, they might have entered this venue thinking that it's an easy avenue to big bucks with little commitment...but however, that is not the case. And their are the charlatan's whose only interest are their personal financial 'bottom lines'. But whatever reasons they create the sites many of these sites are failing because of the lack of experience or character.
So, the sites that I am currently focusing on and joining are sites that have a structure that appears to be sound. I am looking at sites that are offering a payout per click that benefits not only the affiliates but the advertisers and owners as well.
The sites that I am promoting on my lens are sites that are viewed by many in the PTC world as strong with the necessary ingredients that will lead to an enduring program.
As I learn and upgrade my choices, I will of course share what I have learned with my viewers.

I sure hope that my infrequent postings aren't scaring anyone away. I do visit this site frequently and I am constantly making changes.
I guess compared to the average lens that you probably view, mine is a bit lengthy. But I thought it was important to share as much as I could about setting this PTC package up. Also this was my first lens, so creating this lens served many purposes.
In a few weeks, I will be adding another section, which will include other PTC sites that I have discovered and at present appear to be stable, strong and are here for the 'long haul'.
So...enjoy the PTC world...it really is a great place to start earning a few extra dollars a month, while you build your online business...Ciao

Hi Guys, I have been away for quite a while but for the last couple of weeks I have been making a few changes to my little lens.
I have replaced some of the PTC's with more reliable and higher paying programs; removed the old Agloco posting; added a payment processor and a number of other things here and there.
It is starting to look a bit neater and all of the programs are current and Affiliate Worthy. Still got quite a bit more too do. As we all know the internet is constantly changing, what might have been an active and acceptable program yesterday, could be closed and locked today.

Yesterday was really a very special day for me, besides this lens I have another published lens that was listed in the TOP 100 yesterday, November 08, 2007 and it's called 'A_GetRefCom_Affiliate'. It only lasted for a day, but nonetheless I was very excited about it.
Initially when I released that lens into the squidoo community, mine was the only ONE that had been created for that program.
So, not only was I the first to introduce this program to the Squidoo Community, but for a brief moment I made it to the TOP 100.
Do I hear applause in the audience ... yep, I do and I would just like to respond with a very humble ... THANKS!

I'm not talking about Shakespearian acting but each of us doing an act of goodness and kindness and then blogging about it.
What if instead of 15,000 blog posts we unite together and each of us does something kind and then blogs about it, how much more powerful and positive will our impact be when we act?
It's the holidays. It doesn't matter how big or how small your act of kindness is. All that matters is that we unite as bloggers on December 17th and each do something kind and then come back and share our experiences on our blogs.
Be creative, take photos, display the letter you wrote or the email you sent, show a video of yourself painting someone's house, bringing some less fortunate a meal or gift. Share the smiles you create by capturing it in a photo or a poem.....then share your experience with the rest of us.
To spread the word and perhaps change the world even more .... let's start a meme. Over the next month tag bloggers with the idea. There is plenty of time to rally together and make a major difference in the lives of thousands of people.
Finally to make this really fun and increase all our traffic, when we blog about what we did, link to another blogger's post. This way we will connect these acts of kindness showing a unity among bloggers that has never been seen before.

In the last few months there have been many PTC programs that have come and gone. And there are many reasons for such a turn around in this industry.
Many of the individuals that start these programs are not actually prepared for the commitment, dedication and focus that's required to maintain a successful PTC site.
Some owner's are just too young, they might have entered this venue thinking that it's an easy avenue to big bucks with little commitment...but however, that is not the case. And their are the charlatan's whose only interest are their personal financial 'bottom lines'. But whatever reasons they create the sites many of these sites are failing because of the lack of experience or character.
So, the sites that I am currently focusing on and joining are sites that have a structure that appears to be sound. I am looking at sites that are offering a payout per click that benefits not only the affiliates but the advertisers and owners as well.
The sites that I am promoting on my lens are sites that are viewed by many in the PTC world as strong with the necessary ingredients that will lead to an enduring program.
As I learn and upgrade my choices, I will of course share what I have learned with my viewers.

I sure hope that my infrequent postings aren't scaring anyone away. I do visit this site frequently and I am constantly making changes.
I guess compared to the average lens that you probably view, mine is a bit lengthy. But I thought it was important to share as much as I could about setting this PTC package up. Also this was my first lens, so creating this lens served many purposes.
In a few weeks, I will be adding another section, which will include other PTC sites that I have discovered and at present appear to be stable, strong and are here for the 'long haul'.
So...enjoy the PTC world...it really is a great place to start earning a few extra dollars a month, while you build your online business...Ciao

Hi Guys, I have been away for quite a while but for the last couple of weeks I have been making a few changes to my little lens.
I have replaced some of the PTC's with more reliable and higher paying programs; removed the old Agloco posting; added a payment processor and a number of other things here and there.
It is starting to look a bit neater and all of the programs are current and Affiliate Worthy. Still got quite a bit more too do. As we all know the internet is constantly changing, what might have been an active and acceptable program yesterday, could be closed and locked today.

Need a little help with a NetWord
No matter what field of work that you are involved in, each has there own special 'in house' dialog. Some of the terms to an outsider might just sound like gibberish, however to the inner circle the terms are understood by everyone. So to help those of you that are new to these ranks I have listed a few definitions to help with this transition.
Affiliate- the publisher/salesperson in an affiliate marketing relationship.
Affiliate Marketing- revenue sharing between online advertisers/merchants and online publishers/salespeople, whereby compensation is based on performance measures, typically in the form of sales, clicks, registrations, or a hybrid model.
Autoresponder- a program that sends an automatic form response to incoming emails.
B2B- business that sells products or provides services to other businesses.
B2C- business that sells products or provides services to the end-user consumers.
Bandwidth- how much data can be transmitted in a time period over a communications channel, often expressed in kilobits per second (kbps).
Banner Ad-a graphical web advertising unit, typically measuring 468 pixels wide and 60 pixels tall (i.e. 468x60).
Blog- A frequent, chronological publication of personal thoughts and Web links.
Cache - the storage of Web files for later re-use at a point more quickly accessed by the end user.
Click-Through - the process of clicking through an online advertisement to the advertiser's destination.
Conversion Rate - the percentage of visitors who take a desired action.
Cookie - information stored on a user's computer by a Web site so preferences are remembered on future requests.

Blogging is another way to earn some additional funds on the net, I have only briefly dabbled within this community. Back in the day, I really had no idea then that you could earn money by blogging.
Actually I didn't even get it, what was a blog. I know a little more now and I am venturing further within those ranks.

Spree is another program that helps you save on purchases and pays you for referral purchases. This has worked well for me over the last 8 years would you believe! I have a lens on it if you are interested in taking a look at yet another program.
