My Little Pony

Welcome to the My Little Pony lens!
If you collect or want to give My Little Ponies as a gift, this is a great place to start learning. You can further your old collection of 1980's Ponies, or pick up the current versions in stores like Target, Kmart, and Toys R Us.

This lense has plenty of links for you to join the pony community and start collecting! There are loads of creative outlets too, like making your own custom ponies, restoring damaged ones, pony art, stories, and so much more!

My Little Ponies are great toys for anyone who likes horses and beautiful colors. The contrasts, blends and combinations of wonderful hues ensure that collectors will find one of special beauty just for them. Ponies have long manes and tails you can brush, and a symbol on their hip to help identify them. Many different types of ponies were produced, such as Unicorns, Pegasus and Sea Ponies. There are also babies, boys and princesses, in the Generation One collection.

If you are giving ponies as a gift, be sure to find out which ones the reciever already has. There's tons of them, and they can be confusing to an outsider. If you can't ask, go with a favorite color or theme. (Surely you know your lucky reciever's favorite color!)

My Little Ponies are divided up into 3 releases Hasbro did. Each pony line has a slightly different look. The first (g1) lasted from the 1980s through early 1990s. The second changed their look drastically, and so did not last as well. This was in the late 90s, and is called G2. The third, current look features ponies which are slightly smaller than G1, but retain the same 'feel' to their build and look. G3 does not have the color and pony-type variety yet that G1 had.

If you want current ponies, just buy them in the above-mentioned stores. For vintage, there are trade-boards, yard sales, and most popularly, Ebay. Have fun exploring the lense and your pony collection!
