MySims is another game from the Sims series, available for Nintendo Wii and DS gaming platforms, and is accompanies by three newer titles: MySims Kingdom, MySims Party and MySims Racing.
Explore a whole new world with MySims - it's your world to transform! Move to a town that has been struggling lately. With a little creativity and some help from the locals, you can make this place thrive.
Here is a overview of the MySims Game, and how to play it.
MySims for Nintendo Wii
The Wii version of MySims is different from the other 'Sims' games and begins with a character moving into a run-down town with a mayor desperate to bring residents back. The player's job is to attract business and townies back into town.
Players collect essences to build houses and furniture, and in return are given special decorations, blueprints, and outfits for their Sim. As the town's population increases, new areas of town are unlocked in which even more people can be moved in.
You can also interact with citizens by doing certain things with them and also you can join in their activities somewhere in your town. You can also customize your character in many different items you can build that has the option to change your character.
When playing MySims on the Nintendo Wii, the Nunchuk is used for direct movement and the Wii Remote used for object moving and building. Also you move the cursor around the screen to collect essences and to make your Sim perform certain options like eating or sleeping. You can also use the Wii Remote to go fishing in certain lakes around town or the Ocean.

Fun variation on the Sims - C. Offen
"My Sims is not like a normal Sims game. Personally, I love the anime style, and relaxed game play. You work on tasks you want to do, instead of trying to make sure your Sim stays happy and alive in previous games. You design houses, furniature, and decorate, as well as collect "essences" that are used to do pretty much all of the above. You ask new Sims to move into your town. The music is pleasant, and the "voices" of the Sims is adorable. It would have been nice if this game was wifi compatable, but it is not. I also was a bit disappointed with the number and amount of loading times for a wii game. However, its overall a cute game, that has been keeping me entertained. If you like games such as Animal Crossing, where you basically chat with neighbors, collect things, and customize your pad, you'll probably enjoy it. :)"
Simple, addicting fun - Edward Appleby
"I have played virtually every Sims game since the original SimCity game, and I think MySims fits nicely into the series. It is, above all else, simple. The graphics are 'cute' and attractive, not realistic. As other reviews have indicated, the 'social' aspect of the game is less important than it was in the previous Sims games. It is really about building and creation -- a hybrid of SimCity and the Sims, with an anime look. I do wish the character interaction was more developed, but the game is really quite fantastic -- and addicting. The goal of the game is really rather mundane, to construct buildings and 'stuff' to revitalize the town, but it is really great fun. Highly recommended, if you can get past the simplicity of it all. For the first time in MANY years, I am addicted to a video game."
Not a Typical Sims Game - E. Seiber
"Okay. This is not a typical sims game but that is okay. I have been addicted to the Sims from the beginning on the computer but HATED the console ones. This was such a breath of fresh air for me. The console games were always too complicated to play with a controller and the tasks were too hard. I have only played for one day so far but this is a nice leisurely game to play with little frustration. I love the look and feel of the game and the tasks are so far nice. I rented and now am definitely going to buy this game as it appeals both to myself and my kids which is hard to find."

MySims Kingdom
for Nintendo Wii
MySims Kingdom sets you on a storytelling journey of discovery and exploration to help King Roland and his subjects revitalize the Kingdom. Throughout this epic quest you will hear new stories from old and new friends alike, discover fascinating new lands and build to the limit of your imagination.
The game begins in The Capital, the land at the center of your storytelling. After you have met King Roland you can venture off into the vast lands beyond. Newly-added building options will help you accomplish your tasks. And in true MySims fashion, everything is customizable, allowing every creation within your world to have a signature look.
MySims Kingdom adds new features to its predecessor - there are no loading screens, and instead has interactive cutscenes. The creation of new items has been dropped and decorating a Sim's Home is done with pre-fabricated items obtained by finishing quests. The player is asked to find several specific essences and trade them for scrolls, that gives the ability to make new items.
Essences are not only needed to build or paint, but also, you use "Mana Points" which can be obtained by performing certain activities like mining. Also the game includes a new building interface and a storyline unlike the first MySims.

Other Reviews of MySims Kingdoms

Faster, less tedious than the first MySims - Deanna Dean
"The most noticeable change is that Kingdom saves much faster than the first MySims game. There is no moving in/out of Sims. The game starts with all the Sims in place, it is the player's task to find them and help them renovate and decorate. The exterior building feature is much the same, but furniture building tasks are gone. Essences are easier find and tally up quickly. Sometimes it felt like Kingdom is actually a prequel to MySims. The graphics and tasks are more simplistic. This game will be easier for kids because the game tells you what you need to meet the task requirements."
On behalf of a 12 year old - Andrew Scott Willy
"My 12 year old daughter loves this game. I insisted she get it because of the Sim brand and I remembered the endless hours I invested into SimCity and SimCity 2000 as a kid. It turns out this is nothing like the two Sim games I remember, though that may be a good thing. She has about 10 hours on MySims Kingdom so far and enjoys it as much as any game I've ever seen her play.
I invited her to offer a rating, and she gave it 5 stars."
Much Improved - Melissa P
"I was a big fan of the first one so I didn't know what to expect from this sequel. I have to say I am pleasantly surprised at how much I enjoy the changes made and the new format. The gameplay seems faster and there is much more to explore and do. I am in my late 30s so I will say that this game is not just for young kids. If you enjoy Sims games, this won't disappoint. I find it easy to play and still a very enjoyable experience."

MySims Party
Just like the previous MySims games, the aim of the MySims Party is to help the mayor of a run-down town to bring residents back. Your job is to enter competitions and win to bring new people into town. Players must collect points during these minigames to gain new characters and monuments and in return are given new playable characters, and outfits for their Sim. As the town's population increases, new areas are unlocked.
In the MySims Party, players select a custom team of 4 characters to test their wits, quickness and skill in 50 mini-games, each hosted by a different MySim.

Fun for kids - T. Chin
"I bought this as a present for my 8 year old niece and she loves it! She thinks the mysims characters are adorable, and seems to really enjoy the game selection. Probably not for older kids or adults, but lots of fun for the younger game players in the house."
Take the good with the bad - P. Sumida
"I have a daughter who's 7 and a son who's 5, and we love video games. We are big fans of Mario Party 8, which made us interested in this game. Here are the pros and cons:
Pros: like the festivals (set of mini-games with little "surprise games" mixed in) because they make a game shorter than a game of Mario Party, games are good and simple to learn but difficult to master, no "practice" mode for a mini-game (my son will double the length of a game of MP8 if we don't limit practices), kids like the MySims "village" where the festivals take place, like the different qualities of each player (stamina, health, luck, and something else) that change throughout the game.
Cons: Wii selection controls are annoying and make too much noise, the Sims you can choose from are pretty limited, making more Sims for your game is difficult. The minigame play is solid, but the controls between games and selecting options/players are just aggravating.
We like the game but don't love it. It is a little cutesy, which my kids can take or leave, but you can deal with it. Definitely rent before you buy this one."

Customer Reviews of MySims Racing
Great game - G. Poulin "Gracie""Both my six year old daughter and my husband love the game. We've tried the Mario Cart and find this game much more user friendly and much more exciting to play. My daughter is always excited to play this game especially because we use it as a reward on the weekend for good behavior during the week. Love the game and we highly recommend it."
Surprisingly fun - T. Chin
"MySims Racing surprised me with it's customization features and wide variety of environments. Each of the game's characters is very unique and likable. You also have an amazing number of options to choose from when you create your own character and car. You can upgrade your car with parts to improve it's handling, steering, acceleration and weight. You'll definitely need to do that for the later races.
The controls are very responsive with either the Wii or Gamecube controllers and you'll be power sliding in no time. Lots of power ups and variety within each track and racing to help the townsfolk (yes, there is an overall story line) is much more enjoyable than just click click clicking to the next race.
One thing to note is that if you have a Gamecube controller plugged in, you'll have to use that, and not the Wii controllers to get past the intro screens."

Great game from a parent's point of view- C. Spagnuolo "Tech blogger"
"Overall we give EA MySims Agents 5 out of 5 - fun game play, a great story line, challenging puzzles, and good interactivity. We love the fact that it is so well suited for younger kids, encourages reading, reading comprehension, deductive reasoning, and problem solving.
We would highly recommend this game for Wii owners with children over 6 years old. And oh, by the way, it wasn't just the kids who loved the game. We've been having a great time playing it too!"
