For Those of you that don't already know, Webkinz are stuffed animals that are similar to many other small plush toys, however they come with a special code on their labels that allows access to the "Webkinz World" which is a website to "adopt" a virtual version of the Webkinz pet for virtual interaction.

Webkinz - A Little History 

Webkinz are plush animal friends that are interactive when you log into their own special website. Once on their site, you enter in their special unlock code and your friend will then be officially adopted! You can play online games with your Webkinz pet and as you collect more, all of your Webkinz can play together!

The Top 10 Reasons to Get Your Child a Webkinz (or...why your parents should get you a Webkinz!):

1. Remember the Beanie Babies? Webkinz are a lot more fun....they don't just sit around collecting dust, but they come to life online.

2. If you introduce your child to Webkinz, you'll be the coolest parent ever (until they become teenagers).

3. If your kids already own a Webkinz, you won't have any problem figuring out where they are.

4. It's impossible to have this much fun for less than $20. Plus, combined with a full year of online web play with your pet's virtual version then it's a true bargain. Another benefit....The site is commercial free.

5. If your children love dolls, then they will love Webkinz. The Webkinz animals are much more like humans than animals...especially since you can dress them up and decorate their environment.

6. Retired Webkinz are selling for hundreds of dollars on eBay. For instance...an auction for the retired Cheeky Dog and Cheeky Cat together (with unopened tags) just sold for $995 on eBay.

7. If you buy one for your child, it will keep them busy for hours.
