Hi folks! I'm having a good time searching out and putting together these new little treasures from the Mystic Griffin Nest for my new Mystic Atlantis Primitive Jewelry collection. They'll look great for the Goth and add spark to good 'ol t-shirt & jeans. Many styles will even carry over into the evening -- spoil that little black dress, ladies!

I have a wonderful small selection of pieces already and are photographing them now. I've also recently found some exciting genuine ancient beads to add in to the collection! This will bring the addition of various grades of real gold, and of course, more sterling silver. MYSTIC GRIFFIN JEWELRY: The magical beast of lore with the body half a lion & half an eagle is known to hoard treasure. Look into the griffin's nest to find mystical hand crafted jewelry & jewelry supply components by shop owner, Tree Pruitt; including the Mystic Atlantis Primitive Jewelry Collection. Many items here are made or assembled using primitive traditional methods, ancient designs & genuine antiques. Plastic is avoided, and beads are generally made of natural bone, fossil, gems, metal, glass & other stones; several of the pieces make for a fine addition to authentic Mountain Man, Muzzleloading, an Renaissance Fair re-enactors.

I have a few rules for myself with the Mystic Atlantis Primitive Jewelry project...

..1 NO PLASTIC! We don't often use the "P" word around here -- only when we have to! :) Some beads are strung on Monofilament or other plastic coated products for durability.

..2 Use the highest quality materials I can but keep it kinda casual -- affordable is fun!

..3 Choose materials that, when combined, create pieces that might remind one of Atlantis or the style of the ancient Minoans on Crete. (LOVE those frescos!) I keep these words in mind when I'm looking for componants and beads ... ocean, fire, magic, mystery, island, relic, and of course Atlantis and the Minoans :)

..4 Have a plan but keep open to Guidence always.

..5 The final piece has to look hand done -- a bit primative, a touch of tribal -- and perhaps as if it's a treasure recovered from the lost depths of the sea or earthquake rubble. I saw and fell in love with the look of ancient recovered jewelry years ago. But I'm not digging any holes in the backyard, so don't worry -- the jewelry is clean, LOL!

From my Mystic Atlantis Primitive Jewelry Collection, I offer a lovely, motion dangle dolphin pendant of hand beaten natural copper. The style pretends it is an ancient treasure from the past, a metaphysical amulet. The outline of a dolphin hangs from a sturdy hand shaped bale, while a drop charm moves about freely; changing the dolphins position as if mobile in the water! The wave like spiral is present to act as a symbol of the ocean, which is in itself a symbol of human emotions and rebirth. It features various Czech Glass fire polished beads in shades of blue. May also be added to a pin for a brooch charm, or even hung from a magic wand or walking stick staff. Unique, mystical design fit for an Atlantean priestess or Pagan princess alike!

 Mystic Earring Handmade with Genuine Ancient Bronze Coin; Unisex

 Here's a project that I really enjoyed and hope to do another soon... a genuine ancient Roman bronze coin in an antiqued brass earring. I hand cleaned the coin myself, which took many months of soaking in oil, then I added a cobalt blue glass bead and a silvertone charm. Some minor details can be seen on the coin; there is an earth goddess figure on one side (with up raised arms). Unique, mystical design perfect for the coin collector, Gothic guy or Biker man in your life; Girls can wear it too for a magical gypsy look! Large Niobium earring hook also reminds one of pirate jewelry and is a non-irritating metal.
