Think Happy, Be Happy

Beautiful Wings of ChangeWe have all been there, two maybe three weeks before New Year in front of the mirror taking a deep long look at ourselves thinking where we are in life and making a decision that come the New Year, come the New You.

This is the time when the decision is made that the weight will be lost, the bad habits given up, the early mornings will be met with glee and the progression in our own personal success will be started. We chat with friends/colleagues/family members about our wonderful intentions. We get hyped and excited.

Unfortunately, for most of us, come the 2nd week of January the choccie biscuits are back centre stage, the bad habits are creeping back in and we start settling back into the routine of the year before, and the year before that, and the year before that. Resolutions in a shambolick heap somewhere hidden away from view with a towel over them in the recesses of our minds, to be uncovered again December 10th of this new year. The sense of failure is back and so are the cast, the directors and writers of the play that is called "Your Life".

Do not worry, all will be well.

Like I will keep on saying through out all my lenses, I only recommend things that I know helped me and WORK. The things listed below were all quite literally priceless in the evoking of positive thinking within me.

Keep A Lid On Your New Years Resolution

Shhhhhhh.  Keep it to yourelfInstead of making your decision, and keeping it in your mind you share it, so all the nay sayers and critics WILL try and bring you down and break you and your resolve. Most of them will not even realise they are doing it. These critics are more likely than not people who love you, they may be in the form of your partner, parent, child, neighbour or even your best friend. Have you ever heard the quote "People hate successful people". Unfortunately it is true. If someone wants to make changed to their lives and they are failing, rather than looking inward for the answer to success they look outward at others to seek out other people's failings to make themselves feel better. Yes, it is a very bad trait but at some time or other most of us have done it. So, when you make your decision, unless you have someone who will 100% back you and not point out when you trip, keep it to yourself. Let your loved ones just notice that you are suddenly looking better, feeling better and becoming more successful, let them ask "How did you do that . . ." rather than giving them the heads up to wait for your fall.

Do You Talk To Yourself?

Do Yourself A Favour, put in a good word!

If you are going to say something to yourself, make it positiveHumans are the only living creatures that talk to themselves. Each and every day, our minds (if not run by design) are let to run rampant and will spend all of its time hour after hour giving you a critique on you. What we need to ensure is the information we are feeding ourselves is positive. For instance, never be down on yourself about your body, hair, bank balance even personality, as you have to know what you do not like in order to know what you do like. Once you have the vision of what you do like you then have given yourself the starters gun that will propel you forward towards the point where you want to be.

You are a wonderful person

LIVE BY DESIGN, NOT BY DEFAULTLove yourself right here right now for who and what you are. If there are aspects that you want to change, feel great that you have been able to see it. Never be unhappy about yourself as without contrast and desire there cannot be change.

You are right here and now in this moment the sum total of the thoughts and actions that you have taken up to this point, therefore if you change your thoughts and actions from this point forward you will then be the sum total of those thoughts and actions, each step propelling you forward towards your desire.
