This Lens Will Focus On The Cheerleaders of The NFL

I love NFL Cheerleaders and not just because they are beautiful, although that is one reason for sure. They also just make me feel good. They bring back memories of when I went to school. They are always cheering even when your team is down by 4 touchdowns. They cheer the loudest when their teams makes a touchdown and they keep the fans excited.

So this lens is dedicated to the cheerleaders who are dedicated to their teams and fans. Please bookmark the page and keep coming back as I plan to keep coming back to improve the page.

NFl Cheerleader Playoffs

Did you know the NFL Cheerleaders are right now in the middle of their own playoffs? It's true. You can see it every Saturday on the NFL Network at 3pm et.

This competition takes two Cheerleaders from each of the NFL teams cheerleader squad and has them compete in different events including NFL knowledge, two physical events and a dance event.

The host for the show is Matt Gallant who is joined by former NFL cheerleader Carrie Millbank and Cincinnati Bengal wide receiver Chad Johnson.

nfl cheerleaders history

For many NFL teams, their franchise also includes a cheerleading squad. Cheerleaders are a popular attraction that can give a team more coverage/airtime, popular local support and increased media image. For the NFL, the Dallas Cowboys was the first team to introduce the concept of cheerleaders to NFL football in 1960.

According to most NFL cheerleading sites, cheerleading is classified as a part-time job. However, this "part-time" job is a substantial commitment of time for practice, camp, games, appearances, photo shoots, and charity events.

Most often, cheerleaders have completed or are attending a university, and continue on to other careers after cheering for an average of 1-4 seasons.

Apart from their main duties of cheering during the football games, the cheerleaders have many other responsibilities.
