WEEK 12

The amazing Titans got it done last week in there typical blue collar fashion and gave us our 7th winner of the season- This weekend promises more action and a few really compiling match ups, we have found another free winner for this week - let's look at the match-ups.

N.Y. Jets at Tennessee: This game is going to be highly entertaining- two teams meeting that are playing top notch football. Bret Favre is attempting to lead the 7-3 Jets past the undefeated Titans and their very solid defense to maintain a one game lead over the Dolphins or Patriots that happen to meet this week (so the heat is on.). What more could an NFL fan ask for? LINE: TEN -5 O/U 40.5

Buffalo at Kansas City: The Bills travel to Kansas City to face the disappointing 2008 version of the Chiefs. The Bills looked real strong coming out of the gates and have gone flat the last few weeks now they are 5-5 having lost their last 4. This is the week the Bills have to win to keep the playoffs a realistic hope. LINE: KC -3 O/U 43.5

N.Y. Giants at Arizona The first place Cardinals face the first place Giants as I have mentioned before I am fast becoming a Cardinal fan they are explosive on offense and good on defense and I expect them to give the Giants all they can handle. LINE: ARI +3 O/U 48

WEEK 11

The Giant rise up to the occasion and we win our week 10 selection - Week 11 holds the promise of some really good football and more punishment for the sports book.

Dallas at Washington: Talk about a classic match up for the late game on Sunday. Make no mistake these are bitter inter divisional rivals , they hate each other and would like nothing more than to cause pain and havoc on the other - with the race for first place slipping away for each of these teams as the Giants pull away. This is a must win for each of these teams. LINE:WAS+1 O/U 43

Baltimore at N.Y. Giants: This is the kind of game I love to watch it is going to be a hard hitting game and should have a lot of action and suspense. LINE: NYG -7 O/U 40.5

Tennessee at Jacksonville: Ok this one Puzzles me and is in truth the entire reason I have not Published our pick this week till late - it is reminiscent of our week 2 pick where you have to think this is a trap - but I can see no reason and I have looked for a reason. We only have to give one point to a Jacksonville at home , by the way Jacksonville has one victory at home so far this season. Well lines are created by betting action so someone thinks Jacksonville can win? LINE: JAC +1 O/U 40

WEEK 10

Terrible play by the Broncos lead us straight into our 4 loss of the season (UGLY) Looking in on week 10 there are some good NFL games to take in and I think we will double up on our bookmaker this week.

Tennessee at Chicago: This might be the game of week the only undefeated team takes the show on the road to face a tough Chicago Defense - Can the Bears offense hang with the Titans is the question LINE: CHI +3 O/U 37.5

Indianapolis at Pittsburgh: This is the other game that really caught my interest Pittsburgh put on a real show last Monday and made me realize how under the radar this superb squad has been playing - the Colts seem to be poised to make a playoff run and this games seems to be pivotal for both team - Look out ! LINE: PIT -4.5 O/U 39.5

N.Y. Giants at Philadelphia: This is the late game Sunday and with the division tightening up the Eagles need to win this game to keep pace with the Redskins and bring their record with in one of the division leading Giants. LINE: PHI -3 O/U 42.5

WEEK 9

In week 8 we managed to pick up another win for the season on Monday night as Tennessee covered the spread. This week we look at some of the better match-ups and pick our winner.

New England at Indianapolis: what a difference a season makes last year this would have been the marquee match up for the week but booth of these teams have seem to lost their luster this season - that been said this is still an important contest for each team and on the Monday night stage maybe one of these teams will look like there old self. LINE : IND -6 O/U 44

N.Y. Jets at Buffalo: The battle of New York This is a very evenly matched game with a slight offensive personal advantage going to the JETS. This should be a great game. LINE : /BUF -5 O/U 41.5

Miami at Denver: The Dolphins have had times this year when the looks like they are ready to play with the big boys and so has Denver - Denver is an incredible hard place for a road team to win. LINE DEN -3.5 O/U 50.5

WEEK 8

Last week was a great week of football - sadly the chargers were our pick and we missed the mark our thought last week as we toyed around with the Idea of taking the Giants over the niners and giving up the 10 points would have been the play but I was afraid of the spread%u2026%u2026. Maybe this week we will have to give or get some big points to play.

This week I will be watching some football and playing some online poker (but that's another LENZ)

Arizona at Carolina: As this season progresses I find myself turning into a Cardinal fan I love what they are doing out in the south-west desert. And I am blown away by Kurt Warners numbers (1700= yrds 102.8 rating) particularly in light of the fact he has been without one of his most reliable targets Anquan Boldin since week 5. This will be a hard fought game and should have a lot of scoring. LINE: CAR - 3.5 O/U 43

New York Giants at Pittsburgh: The World Champions roll into Pittsburgh and find themselves a three point underdog this is hands down the contest of the week I would anticipate a very hard hitting game both teams like to make a point with their defenses. Who will survive is the question? LINE:PIT -3 O/U 42

Indianapolis at Tennessee: An interesting match up for Monday night, The undefeated Titans face the Colts.
This year the sun seems to be setting on the Colts, it will be interesting to see If this is a game, or a contest that gets out of hand early. LINE: TEN -4 O/U 40

WEEK 7

Great week in the NFL last week - We won our "free pick" wager thanks to the spread, and we look forward to having another good week.
Point spreads gone mad this week more double digits' (or close too) than I think we have seen in a long time and certainly this season, so we will precede with caution and apply our logic and Pick us a winner.

San Diego heads to Buffalo in what might be this week's most compelling game the chargers have looked flat in the first few weeks of the season but have returned to form the last few weeks they meet a Bills team coming off a bye week that one could argue that although the Bills have looked good have not faced a quality opponent. BUF -1 O/U 44.5

Cleveland heads to Washington and finds themselves a 9 point dog to the Skins and even though the point spread is easily justified statistically, you have to wonder after watching the browns dominate the Giants and after hearing the coaching staff and team statements that "this is where our season starts" if maybe this spread is just to big - I like the Browns in this one (not enough to make them the weeks pick) If they get past the Redskins we will listen to the redirect form the sideline more closely WAS -9 O/U 42

The 49ers head to New York to face the super bowl champs I would not want to face the Giants at home after the humiliation they suffered last week I think the team will be looking to make a statement and I don't believe the 49ers have the firepower to shut them up. NYG -10.5 O/U 47

WEEK 6

What a hard week we had, we picked the Broncos - 3 and that's exactly what happened. So we pick the winner in the game but in most situations we lose the bet. Taking it on the chin two weeks in a row. But we are still up for the season and this week we have a super pick. But first let's look at some of the more interesting games.

What a story the Arizona Cardinals are this year and Kurt Warner has a QB rating 102.5 and if anyone would have told you before the season began that in week six the cardinals would have the best record in their division and be playing the Cowboys and if they win that game will have Identical records with the Cowboys, you would have laughed but that is the situation ARI +5 O/U 50

In an early season must win game the Seahawk welcome the Packers, and Mike Holmgren faces his old franchise for what will likely be the last time. A lot of questions still surround the Seahawks the Seahawks have been so bad at times this year - But seem to come out and shine at home. SEA-1 O/U 46

Miami is on a hot streak winning there last two games in commanding fashion against the Patriots and Chargers even with injuries that outcome seemed pure fantasy had it been suggested prior to actually happening - This week they face an underachieving Houston team that has yet to win this year. HOU-3 O/U 45

PICK FOR WEEK 5 DEN 16 TB 13 -LOSS/PUSH

WEEK 5

Two Major upsets "Denver/KC" and "Washington/Dallas" and Bret Favre has a career best game in week 4 so it was an awesome week to be an NFL spectator, but we take our first loser of the season as the Eagles could not overcome a stingy Bears defense- But we will bounce back this week.

The Colt go to Houston competing against a winless Texan team - Is this the week Payton and the Colt get back on track. Even with the injuries this team seems to be underachieving IND -3 O/U 47

The Seahawks fly all the way to the east coast to meet the Super Bowl Champion New York Giants this game is vary lopsided from all angles - and until the Seahawks start making consistent showings you won't catch me putting any cash on the line in any game they are in. NY -7 O/U 43

The Buccaneers travel to Denver to face Jay Cutler and the Bronco's -Cutler is on fire and is facing one of the worst pass defenses in the NFL - I look for 3 passing TD's for cutler. DEN -3 O/U 47.5

Pick for week 4 Eagles -3 ... PHL 20 CHI 24 -LOSS.

WEEK 4

Week 3 was another week full of exciting upsets and great performances.- Week 4 is the first bye week in the season and looking to week 4 we have a couple games of note and a lot of huge spreads. Giving us less options to consider for suitable wager-worthy contests.

The 49ers go to the "Big Easy" to face the Saints this is a close contest on Paper but I think the Saints in general and Drew Brees in particular have a lot to prove to the home town fans. Look for fireworks here and Brees to Destroy a hobbled 49er secondary for 300 yards. LINE: Saints -5 O/U 49

My favorite game of the week is Monday Night - I love to cheer for the underdog - and I love these old AFC rivalry games, always entertaining. I will cheer for the Ravens, have they a chance? LINE: Steelers - 5.5 O/U 34

The Eagles go to Chicago to face the Bears - Eagles are a tad Dinged up, some of their most potent weapons are questionable for Sunday night's game Brain Westbrook has a history of playing past these type of scenarios how many times has he been listed with an injury and still had 100 total yards and a TD or two. So even Dinged I think the Eagles can still fly. LINE: Eagles -3 O/U 40.5

Pick for week 3 Cowboys -3 ... DAL 27 NTJ 16 - WIN

Week 3

Wow Week two was insane - and I must tip my hat to MR.Oddsmaker that Colts Vikings match up was a lot closer than I thought - But our pick was good enough the Colts covered - and that brings us to week three. A lot of crazy lines this week making our task of picking winners more difficult.

Pittsburgh travels to Philadelphia - after their performance on Monday night against that cowboy defense one has to think that they are going to have their way with Pittsburgh. PHL -3.5 O/U 44.5

St.Louis at Seattle - The Rams are B.A.D. but I have watched the Rams Seahawks series over the years it is always a tight hard hitting game and personal seems to matter little, Oh and the Seahawks seem to be suck in first gear. So Seahawks with this huge line seems like a head scratcher Just say no to wagering this game SEA -9.5 O/U 43.5

Dallas at Green Bay -Only one of these teams are a legit contender (can you guess who?) I don't think this game will live up to the hype. DAL-3 O/U 51

Pick for week 2 Colts -1 ... IND 18 MIN 15 - WIN

WEEK 2 -

We NFL bettors love the early season action - because the odds makers don't really peg the line till about week 4. In short they only know slightly more than us the wagering public at least those of us that pay attention. That being said the Colt being favored by only 1 point smells like a trap ! What else could it be, there is no way the odds makers would look at Payton's performance in what amounted to his first pre-season game of the season and take 4 or 5 points off the line? Especially against an average unit like the 2008 Vikings - Fishy fishy fish%u2026%u2026. Where can the fishy be? IND -1 O/U 43.5

Hate to talk about Bret two weeks in a row but the Jets taking on the Brady less Pat's. This has all the makings of an interesting game - will the Pat's defense step up? That is the question - The smart bettor stays away from this one. NYJ -1 O/U 37

And in the late game on Sunday the Steelers at Browns match-up warms may heart as it brings back memories of seasons gone by%u2026. What a classic match up - if you were basing an opinion on resent outings you might jump at the Steelers - but Trends point at the Browns and with Derek Anderson out to prove himself in his division, this will be a wide open game with a Wild finish. Pitt -6 O/U 44.5

And do not forget Monday night - the Cowboys and the Eagles Another Classic with plenty of drama and questions to be answered. DAL -7 O/U 46.5

With or Without Favre ?
Two of the most completing games in week one are completing because of the addition and the subtraction of Bret Favre. Can the historical trends in these two games have any merit given the fact that one of the NFL's greatest players is coming on and off of the roster?
The Vikings travel to Lambuea field to face the Frave-less PACK here are some interesting historical TRENDS that seem to point at a Viking victory, Green Bay -3 O/U 38

MIN are 11-5-1 ATS in their last 17 vs. NFC North.

GB are 16-5-1 ATS in their last 22 games overall.

Road team is 10-2 ATS in their last 12 meetings.

Underdog is 16-5 ATS in their last 21 meetings.

IN GAME 2 -The Jets headed by Farve fly down to Maiami and the historical trends seem to point right to a Jets win Jets -3 O/U 36

MIA are 5-21-2 ATS in their last 28 vs. AFC East.

MIA are 10-27-1 ATS in their last 38 home games.

NYJ are 19-4-2 ATS in their last 25 meetings.

It will be interesting to see how week one works out for all 4 of these teams
