NT Factor and D-Ribose are both Clinically Proven to Improve CFS, M.E., Fibromyalgia Symptoms

New hope for Chronic Fatigue sufferers worldwide.  Anti-oxidants slow down the rate of new membrane damage. NT Factor® undoes existing membrane damage and restore its ability to produce adenosine triphosphate (ATP) which is the chemical name for human energy. NT Factor is the only clinically proven substance to reduce and eliminate fatigue; the most common complaint in primary care and a primary concern for people concerned with heart health.  NT Factor is a proprietary blend of phosphoglycolipids and prebiotics.

D-Ribose is another supplement that can do wonders for your fatigue symptoms.  Clinical studies prove that D-Ribose, a dietary sugar, can improve energy, muscle fatigue and stamina.

There are a variety of product choices available to suit your needs too! This product is recommended for those on a low carb lifestyle that are seeking appetite curbing assistance.

Mitochondrial Function and Health are Key to CFS, Fibromyalgia Recovery

A recent excerpt from my blog.

Recent research has shown clearly that CFS causes a breakdown of the mitochondrial system, thereby reducing ATP production. ATP is where all the body's energy is generated. The biochemistry of CFS and it's affect on the cell is a little heady to me, but I get the basics. It can be summed up in one phrase: oxidative molecular stress. My teenyweeny mitochondria are as fatigued as I am! Poor little things.

At this point, I can imagine my tiny mitochondria, the whole millions or billions of them, each with David Hedison's Face (The Fly), crying out in unison: "helllllpppp meeeee" .

Current research on this topic suggests that various therapies can be directed toward improving mitochondrial function and health. One of the most promising is NT Factor - a proprietary blend of Lipid Replacement. Recent studies have shown a reduction of fatigue in CFS patients up to 40%. Some may consider it a 'higher priced' supplement - taken as directed, about $50 bucks a month. But! I've only been taking this supplement for four days and I notice immediate cognitive improvement, lessened body aches, and a degree of diminished fatigue. I'm so Amazed!

Although these studies show that NT Factor can indeed improve mitochondrial function and lessen fatigue, it is not the only answer to CFS. My research continues, but I now have more energy and for the first time in years upon years, I have hope.

Update 12/16/07: I've now been taking both NT Factor and dRibose for about 80 days. I've gone from not being able to stand for more than two minutes, to being able to take walks for fun - yes I said the fun word! If you're anything like I was just 90 days ago, you know this is a miracle. Yes, this is a marketing page, and I'm linking to these products for a nominal commission. BUT! This isn't about money or marketing - I made this page to get the word out that you CAN feel better and then give you sources to find these supplements. Feel free to ask your Health Food Store to supply them, or you can search for them through Google too. But they DO work for me, and I'm not gonna stop shouting about it... I feel better! Yay! I was a zombie, now I"m waking up after 17 years.

Update 3/18/08: I'm feeling better still. The clinicalstudies on these nutritionsupplements state an improvement of 40% or so - for me this is true. I hiked last week for 2.5 miles! me! My diet hasn't been as good and in April I will be back to a complete cleansing regimine. I'll keep you posted, work on my diet and keep exercising! Feel free to contact me above too.

June 2, 2008: I just got back from a vacation in florida! The latest bottles of NTFactorPills say take (9) for SevereFatigue - Wholly Crackamoni! What a difference it made for me! I've been swimming, hiking, standing effortlessly while I talk (well, for 5 minutes anyway) - I truly can't believe it... If this keeps up I'll be able to go back to work! It's a miracle that makes me cry...

January 14, 2009: I fell off the sugar wagon again over christmas. I'm planning a trip to Yellowstone Park in July and I have to get working again on my diet and exercise. I feel good enough to consider joining the YMCA to start swimming again - my favorite activity in the world. Otherwise, I'm holding steady, still calling myself 50% cured.

July 11, 2009: Now you're gonna start thinking I'm crazy! Two weeks ago I burned my left hand from a cup of searing hot coffee and it literally seared my skin. It hurt like a banshee for 7 days. At the same time, I developed a urinary tract infection and began taking D-Mannose (same kind of sugar as d-ribose, but different in its use by the body). By Friday of that week, I felt nearly normal! I went swimming twice, took walks, did the dishes without effort.

Was it the D-Mannose or the body's enormous effort to heal my burn? I don't know! So I'm continuing to take the D-Mannose hoping that this sudden vitality will continue. Yesterday I hiked two miles, previously this week, I RAN up the stadium steps at the local track. Also, we've got definite plans to hike in Yellowstone Park because I'm doing so well... Me!!! It's like I've been raised from da underworld. no jokes! Of course I didn't lose any substantial amount of weight, but I've been pretty good staying off of sugar. Ready to Rock!

D-Mannose is typically used as a good prevention and natural cure for urinary tract infections. I take 1/2 tsp powder twice a day in a glass of water. It's fairly inexpensive at $15. I also tried to find any mention of this natural sugar associated with CFIDS, to no avail - please write to me if you know of any research or its use in clinical trials - carriebaby at hotmail.com

I'll post my results of having used the dmannose for the next two weeks at the end of july - just before our trip to the Park. If it's not this powdery mix, then I guess I'm gonna have to whip out my curling iron and see if another nasty burn was the reason I've gained some vigor (Ew! I know!).

Update July 25, 2009: I've been taking the dmannose now for about 3 weeks and I've been hiking every other day to get ready for our trip to Yellowstone. I notice much less fatigue, and real energy on demand when I need it, but I still hurt all over. I just don't feel that nasty heavy weight feeling of CFS. We'll be camping, so I've been practicing getting my big fat body down on the floor and crawling around - big ouchies! I'm going to start being religious about taking D-Ribose this week and see if that helps me again. I'll give a full trip report when I get back in august.

October 21: Yellowstone was great - Of course I'm not normal, I tried to hike 3 miles a couple of times on different trails, but the altitude and my CFS just wouldn't let me complete any of them. I had a great time though, and was so thankful just to be in the Park. Since that time, I haven't been very good at taking my supplements, nor have I stayed on my diet - and it shows - I'm back to feeling punky, and only barely on my feet for some small daily tasks. I'll get back on the program & let ya know - blah... it's always an uphill battle with this thing.

My Bloggy
Update 1/29/10 - I've been growing by leaps & bounds lately. So much so, that I forget to keep ya posted. Last summer, after I burned my arm real bad & was doing the D-Mannose thing, I was enervated like crazy. That led me to be physically able to plan, pack, go to Yellowstone and actually hike to some degree. The downside - I wasn't a normal person at all and everything I did still hurt like hell, but it wasn't enough to keep me from doing it. If you suffer from CFIDS or da 'myalgia' you know how huge that is. The upside - I've been able to add 'going out' into my weekly schedule. I go to church, bible study, work on my computer And help a lady with learning her computer each week!

Here's the thing - I'm not actively taking the NT Factor anymore - not because I don't think it has results - on the contrary, because the results have been so amazing, that I have completely forgotten about concentrating on my diet & supplements. What I'm attempting to relate is that for me, the effects of having taken NTFactor are permanent. My mitochondria and subsequent ATP production seem 50% healed from having taken those supplements. So, I'm just kinda living life now! I still have down-days, usually the day after I've done something huge like moving furniture or having exercised, but for the most part, I'm capable of doing any modest activity - the stuff of daily life. amazing. These things are in addition to taking showers, getting dressed, grocery shopping, making dinner, doing dishes, some housecleaning (who pays attention to that?) - - - I have a life now. yes me!

Update 7/15/10 -Low and behold, my blood sugar levels reveal possible Diabetes - who didn't know that was coming? A life led completely by my former addiction to sugar. My sister, a dialysis nurse says most all women over 45 are potential diabetics. Well my wild sugar addiction has been over for several months now - not that my current strict diet makes me feel any additional oomph in my energy. I still have chronic fatigue, but I'm still making my way through the world vastly better than I once was. I'm taking several 30-60 minutes walks a week, and I can don my gorgeous bathing suit and go swimming like normal people do! Ain't that a kick in the delightful pants - me swimming - yay!

D-Ribose Shows Amazing Results!

D-Ribose, a dietary sugar and ATP component, can aid greatly in improvement of your fatigue symptoms. For CFS/Fibromyalgia patients, studies show that there is an average increase in energy of 45%, with a 30% increase in general sense of well-being. While no current studies show a direct correlation to D-Ribose improving ATP production, it seems that might well be the case. What I notice most with this powder, is that it relieves my muscle pain!

It seems from some research that ChronicFatigue and Fibro might be from the same cause or virus, that's manifesting with different primary symptoms from different people - one set experience extraordinary fatigue (that's me) the other set of folks experience the pain of fibro - everywhere (I experience this too, but it's not my major complaint). A good definition of my fatigue: being too tired to brush my hair while the brush was in my hand - everyday! Ouch! When I hurt all over, I use the D-Ribose to help me out and the next day after drinking the sugarwater, I notice marked improvement. I'm much better now for sure.
