Namaste is a Greeting
Namaste is Hindu, spelled "Namaste" and pronounced "Nam-a-stay."
»§«,,,,.·'_`·.,,,,.·'_`·.»§«,,,,.·'_`·.»§«
Namaste is not a religious word, it's a Hindu greeting used every day in India and in many Yoga studios in the western world.
Namaste
When meaning to say Namaste bring your hands together and place them near your heart while saying "Namaste"
There are a variety of definitions, but the one I like best is below.
I honor the place in you
in which the entire Universe dwells,
I honor the place in you
which is of Love, of Truth, of Light and of Peace,
When you are in that place in you,
and I am in that place in me,
we are One.
Namaste!

Namaste
Namaste is a composite of the two Sanskrit words, nama, and te. Te means you, and nama has the following connotations:
* To bend
* To bow
* To sink
* To incline
* To stoop
»§«,,,,.·'_`·.,,,,.·'_`·.»§«,,,,.·'_`·.»§«
The gesture has a subtle effect on the aura and nervous system, bringing focused attention and a collection of one's forces, so to speak. It also protects against unnecessary psychic connections which are fostered by shaking hands. This might be protecting one's energies.

Audio CD (August 12, 2003)
...a 15-minute guided meditation, trancelike and devotional, Karunesh's Zen Breakfast, "Prabhupada Padma" from Rasa in Concert features the vocals of Kim Waters. Kim's voice is so sensual that she could sing a grocery list and have you down on your knees, pledging eternal devotion to Kellogg's Corn Flakes and hopefully something more organic. Excerpt from Spirit of Yoga disc, Singing Bowls of Tibet and other beautiful offerings, a collection as ideally suited to dinner by candlelight as for contemplation, meditation, and just plain daydreaming.

Great lens! I belonged to a meditation group years ago where we bowed to each other saying Namaste. It is a cool experience when your heart is in a place of namaste.
Namaste to you...
