- As Silver Guard is a SOL, a nano-particle solution, it is totally safe for a nursing mother, infants and seniors. Yes, I would apply it on the nipples, and if baby, ingests some, it will help him or her eliminate yeast also. The mother can also take Silver Guard internally.

- Thanks for inquiring. According to Dr. Pedersen in order to kill the bacteria rinse your mouth with one ounce of Silver Sol for six minutes. Allow a small amount of the solution to trickle down the back of your throats and swallow every 30 seconds. Swallow the remainder when you're done. Pump Silver Sol into your nasal cavity as needed. Sinuses and throat need to be treated simultaneously so one does not infect the other.

-
-
-
CorinneFloyd Feb 22, 2012 @ 6:39 pm | delete
- Hi Ashley, Silver Sol gel can be given to children one to four times a day, and they can drink Silver Sol liquid once or twice a day. For prevention, Dr. Pedersen recommends children take one half teaspoon once or twice a day.
Children require a smaller dose than adults. A 50 pound child, for instance, would take one third the dosage of a 150 pound adult. A 20 pound child a little less - however it can be increased during times of illness.

- I can give you this information from Dr.G. Pedersen's book A Fighting Chance about ear infections: " These bacteria can be destroyed by Silver Sol liquid after just five minutes of contact. Use a dropper to place five drops into the ear canal while the ear is pointed towards the roof. Keep the ear tilted up for 12 minutes. This will allow the Silver Sol liquid to get as far down behind the ear as possible. Repeat this process in each ear every 12 hours. You will also want to drink two teaspoons of liquid Silver Sol twice daily and take vitamin C."
Dr. Pedersen also says that - "when antibiotics are supplemented with Silver Sol the benefits can be as much as 10 fold. Use silver daily for prevention. If a crisis occurs, antibiotics can be added. The silver will destroy the bacteria that the antibiotic misses."

- Hi Grace, Good question. Silver Shield's health benefits are based on its ability to destroy bacteria, viruses, molds, and fungi. Silver Shield helps to improve and build up the body's immune system.
Cancer is always caused by a multiplicity of factors. Toxins, poisons, and pesticides have all been proven to cause cancers. Bacteria is one of the greatest causes of cancer because it neutralizes your immune system, allowing damage inside the cell on the DNA level.
While silver has proven promising against many health conditions, those who have cancer or who may suspect they have cancer should always consults a physician before pursuing any course of treatment.
I invite you to visit www.anticancerherbs.biz for information on a herbal cancer treatment program.

Silver Shield liquid and gel are prepared using an entirely different process. Silver Shield is non-toxic, even at high levels, and has no side effects or contra-indications, safe for all individuals.

Thanks for your comment.
There are many problems that can develop within the eyes, both bacterial and viral. These can all be helped with Silver Sol Liquid and Gel. Try spraying two or three drops of silver liquid directly into the eyes one to four times a day and drink two teaspoons twice a day for one week, or until the problem is remedied. I have an excellent cleanse called the Tiao He Pak. This cleanse, along with a healthy diet of vegetables, fruits, and grains, and lots of water is a great way to clean out cells that are holding onto toxins. The Tiao He Pak is easy to order online or by phone, if you are interested let me know. Thanks for your question.

- Hi Gracie,
Silver Sol can help because jit destroys the viruses and bacteria. It is often hard to identify the flu for the first few days. Whether you are suffering from a cold or the flu, Silver Sol will help. Start by drinking two teaspoons two to four times a day.
Silver Sol liquid and gel's amazing health benefits are based on its ability to destroy bacteria, viruses, molds, and fungi. It can be used to help build the immune system and as a preventative on an ongoing basis.

also I have dry eyes would this help so that i would not need to have plugs put in the tear duct.

Spray two or three drops of liquid Silver Sol directly in the eyes one to four time a day and drink two teaspoons twice a day for one week, or until the problem is remedied. Other products that can help include bilberry eyebright, lutien, and antioxidants.
You should expect to have an improvement in your eyesight very quickly especially if you have very dry eyes or a bacterial or viral infection. Cataracts that are very progressed are difficult to reverse, but the surface of the eye and the clarity of lens can be improved by using Silver Sol topically."

-
-
-
CorinneFloyd Jan 22, 2011 @ 11:43 pm | delete
- Hi Chris, Thanks for the question.
Silver Shield preparations are manufactured by a completely different method. Silver sol technology uses 10,000 volts of alternating current, while the old colloids use 110 volts of direct current. This significant increase in power essentially supercharges the silver, which results in a solution that has a different atomic structure than the colloids and ionics. Silver Shield is safe for use with children. Dr. Gordon Pedersen says," I recommend children take one half teaspoon once or twice a day. This general dosage may be doubled during times of illness."
I do use silver shield liquid for my eyes. I use a dropper and put 1 drop in each eye.
The gel may be easier with a child. The gel can be used more frequently.
Applied gently on the sty it should be very beneficial.

In most cases, pets take one fourth to one sixth, of the normal human dose, but they can safely take up to quadruple doses when they have a problem. (Dr. G. Pedersen)

- Hi Danielle, Thanks for asking.
First of all Silver Shield is safe for children. Children require a smaller dose of liquid Silver Shield than adults. Yes, the ratio of one third is a good measure. Dr. Pedersen recommends that children can use the gel one to four times a day and they can drink the liquid once or twice a day. For prevention, he recommends children take one half teaspoon once or twice a day. This general dosage may be doubled during times of illness.
Silver Shield has no side effects or contra-indications, and is safe for all individuals. I would not be concerned (if I was breast feeding) about too much for the baby. Silver Shield supports the immune system.

- To ejkoye, I'm glad the gel is helping. The liquid is also safe. You could try putting some Silver Shield liquid in a small spray bottle (like a nasal mist bottle) and spray it on his skin. That way you don't have to rub his skin especially if it is sore. Silver Shield is safe for all individuals according to Dr. Pedersen, so I would give him a 1/4 of a tsp. twice a day. Oregon Grape by the dropperful can also be helpful.

- To Kara and Hope, Thanks for commenting. I use Nature's Sunshine silver shield and so as far as I know from the research I've done on Nature's Sunshine silver shield it is: safe and non-toxic even at extremely high dosages. Dr. Gordon Pedersen says," Whether young or old, sick or healthy, silver solutions have a proven track record of safety and have been taken by millions without side effects." Also, "Research, testing and long-term use prove that Silver Shield is completely safe for everyone, including children and the elderly." There is no caution about pregnancy on the Silver Shield fact sheets. However, I would check your brand and with a natural health professional in your local area.

- Hi Corrinne! what are your thoughts about using Silver Shield for yeast. I think I have a somewhat chronic yeast overgrowth. I was thinking of taking the Silver Shield daily (along with a yeast diet protocol & natural supplements) to support getting in control of internal yeast. thank you!!

-
CorinneFloyd Sep 4, 2010 @ 10:52 pm | delete
- Hi Anne, Here is some information on yeast: Yeast grows in the skin, vagina, and digestive system. It can be very damaging because it feeds off the very cells that are healthy and normal inside our intestines. Yeast lives in warm, moist areas and feeds off sugars. It is important to remove sugars from the diet. Silver Sol has been documented to kill yeast both inside and outside of the body.
To fight intestinal or vaginal yeast, drink two tablespoons of Silver Sol in the morning and at night. Half that dosage can be taken for prevention. Acidophilus, dietary fiber and digestive cleansing can help if you have an intestinal problem. (Dr. Gordon Pedersen)

- My 4 month old son has thrush, I used Nystatin Oral Suspension for almost 2 weeks and it didn't get rid of it. Have switched to Silver Shield, I swab his mouth with a q- tip soaked in it and it is almost gone after 2 days. I breastfeed him and I have yeast on my nipples too. Should I try the gel? Also have not taken it orally myself, what do you recommend?
Thank You!

- hi, what type of silver is silver shield - ionic, colloidal or molecula?
-
-
-
CorinneFloyd Aug 13, 2010 @ 1:10 pm | delete
- Hi Jan, Silver Shield in essence is simply silver particles dispersed in purified water also called Silver Sol. The term Sol is a chemical designation of a pure mineral permanently suspended in water where the mineral's charge is transferred to the entire body of water. Solutions made with metallic silver are tested to be more potent than other silver preparations, such as those made with ionic silver. Colloidal silver and ionic silver can be effective; I preter the new silver technology called silver sol, or also called silver Aquasol technology. (Reference: Dr. G. Pdersen, A Fighting Chance)

CorinneFloyd Aug 13, 2010 @ 1:23 pm | delete
- Silver Shield gel is gentle. It helps to keep the skin stay moist and provides a protective anti-bacterial barrier. I would apply it to a baby's skin. Also to prevent diaper rash, you can spray a thin layer of Silver Shield on the inside of the diaper and then allow it to stand for about 2 minutes.

- What about using the Silver Shield Gel for acne?
-
-
-
CorinneFloyd Jul 1, 2010 @ 12:27 am | delete
- Andrew, Yes,silver shield can help acne. Acne can be caused by bacteria getting inside of a hair follicle or a sweat gland. Once the bacteria gets under the skin it will duplicate itself, dissolving healthy tissue in the process and leaving scars behind. To get rid of the acne, you must get rid of the bacteria.
To kill the bacteria, take two teaspoons of silver twice a day. Silver should also be applied topically twice a day.
You'll see improvement within2 days. Total reconstruction of the skin will take about 4 weeks.

- My seven year old son has warts (for over 4 years now). We have tried everything, except a dermatologist. Would silver shield help with this. And if so how ofter should we appy it. Do we need the gel or the liquid?
-
-
-
CorinneFloyd Jun 20, 2010 @ 11:02 pm | delete
- Hi Traci, Thanks for the question about warts.
Warts are usually viral infections that have gotten under the skin and reproduced in a way that makes thickened, callused tissue around it. If you can get the Silver Shield down inside the wart it will actually kill the virus and it will die. By drinking two teaspoons of Silver Shield liquid twice day, it will circulate in the blood stream. Combined with topical application of the gel, you should see significant benefit.
For quicker, more complete results, pare down the wart with a sharp instrument.
( Warts do not have pain receptors. When pain is felt you've reached the skin.) Put the Silver Shield gel on the exposed portion of the wart.

Silver Shield is safe for pets and in most cases pets take one fourth to one sixth of the normal human dose, buty they can safely take up to quadruple doses when they have a problem. Would you like to order some Silver Shield? I'll do some more research for you and see what I can find out.

- Hi Worried, The following is what I know about HPV (Human Papilloma Virus) from Dr. Pedersen's book about Silver Sol. The human papilloma virus is usually what causes cervical cancer in women. To reach the cervix, place Silver Shield gel on a tampon and insert it for at least 90 minutes. Another way to affect HPV is to pump two ounces of Silver Shield liquid as a douche intervaginally. Hold it for 10 to 12 minutes before releasing. This will allow the liquid to have access to the cervix for a long enough time to destory the virus.
Thank you for your questions.

- To Barb, Possibly the reason the Silver Shield liquid was not effective last time you used it was because your daughter may have swallowed it too fast.
The best practice with strep and sore throats is to rinse your mouth with one ounce of Silver Shield liquid for 6 minutes. Allow a small amount of the solution to trickle down the back of your throat and swallow every 30 seconds. Swallow the remainder when you're done. Pump Silver Shield liquid into your nasal cavity as needed for sore throat and congestion. The Silver Shield works best when it sits on the infected area for at least 6 minutes.
The suggested use for applying Silver Shield gel to psoriasis is to apply the gel two to four times a day, keeping skin, wounds, or rashes very moist. Drink one teaspoon of Silver liquid twice daily. Aloe vera can also be used and mixed with the gel.
Dr. Pedersen says that Silver Shield can be supplemented with antibiotics and the benefits can by as much as 10 fold. Use silver daily for prevention. If a crisis occurs, antibiotics can be added. The silver will destory the bacteria that the antibiotic misses.

- To Mommychris, Silver Shield is safe for use with children. Children require a smaller dose of liquid Silver Shield than adults. A 50 pound child, for instance, would take one third the dosage of a 150 pound adults. Children can use the Silver Shield gel frequently and it is easier to use.
Silver Shield gel can be given to children one to four times a day, and they can drink Silver Shield liquid once or twice a day. For prevention, Dr. Pedersen recommends children take one half teasooon once or twice a day. This general dosage may be doubled during times of illness.

- Hello!
My 9 year old daughter has psoriasis and we also know that she is also a carrier for strep. A doctor from Sick Kids wants to put her on a very strong antibiotic to try and erradicate the strep, which may in turn help with the psoriasis. I am not sure that I want to try the antibiotic and was wondering if you think that the Silver Shield would get rid of a carrier state of strep. I have to tell you that we did try the Silver Shield for a couple of months last year (2 tsp 2-3 times daily) but it didn't really help. Does it take a long time of taking it for it to work? Is it worth trying again?

- Hi Asha, Thanks for the comment and question.
Yes, Silver Shield liquid can help fight infections caused by diabetes. Drink 2 teaspoons of Silver Shield liquid twice daily. Silver Shield gel can improve diabetic ulcers and wounds and is especially beneficial for foot wounds, venons stasis ulcers, hemorrhoids, and varicose veins. Use the Silver Shield gel one to four times a day to keep these ulcers moist so they can improve more quickly.

- Hi Anne, Thanks for your question.
Worms are parasites and Silver Sol can help. It does not kill all parasites, but it does help in the intestines, in the blood, and with leichmaniasis. Silver Sol will need to be used for three months,as the lifecycle of each generation of parasites is about 45 days. During this time, drink two teaspoons twice a day. Black walnut hull, digestive cleansing, and milk thistle will also help this process.

- Marylin,
I have friends who have successfully treated their pets with both Silver Shield Gel and Liquid.
I have the following information for you about gingivitis and about pet use.
Gingivitis is a bacterial infection inside the gums. You'll want to take Silver Shield gel, place it on a tooth brush, and brush teeth. After brushing, rinse with Silver Shield liquid for six minutes, swallowing the remainder. This also helps with toothaches, canker sores, and bad breath.
Of course the rinsing part is not possible with a cat, but the gel can certainly be used.
About pets:
You can use Silver Shield liquid or gel for your pet. If a pet weights 20 pounds, it should receive one fourth of the human dosage. In most cases, pets take one fourth to one sixth of the normal human dose, but they can safely take up to quadruple doses when the have a problem.

- Sara,
Your research is correct, to a point. The reason a lot of silver products on the market can cause heavy metal toxicity is because the labs creating them, are using particle sizes that are too large for the blood stream.
The product that this article is written about is called Silver Shield, and it is a special and unique formulation, that does NOT cause toxicity or cause you to "turn blue." - Hi Sara,
Thanks for your comments and questions about silver.
How Safe Are Silver Products?
Silver Shield is a patented product that is powerfully effective against literally dozens of pathogens.(US Patent #7135195)
Patented silver solutions are gentle, safe and non-toxic even at extremely high dosages. You would probably have to take several quarts of silver solution a day to experience any side effects. It causes no dependence or addiction. It does not interfere with the action of antibiotics or other drugs. It shows no toxic build-up and leaves no residual silver in the body, according to tests. It is also safe for the community because it doesn't encourage super microbes and drug-resistant pathogens.
Silver is a heavy metal and can by toxic, but silver solution preparations are not dangerous.

- Hi Bob,
Thanks for reading my lens. Yes, Silver is interesting and has quite a history. Before the days of refrigeration a silver coin was kept in milk cans to keep the milk from going sour. And have you heard of the expression, "Born with a silver spoon in his mouth'? Well, again in history the affluent families had silver cutlery and would put a silver spoon in a child's mouth to ward off illness. Also silver is used in the air purification systems in airliners and it is also used in hospitals in catheders because it reduces infection.
