Nature-Inspired Plush Animals

Ollie owl is a very friendly amigurumi-style owl WHOO loves to play.

Ollie is crocheted in tan and brown acrylic yarn. His eyes are tan and white with safety eye centers and his beak is gold.

Ollie measures 9 inches tall and 5 inches wide. He's plumply stuffed with polyfil.

This is my interpretation in crochet of the interesting group of birds called the Great Horned Owl. He doesn't look exactly like the 'real' owl, as handmade plush animals have their own 'personality' and 'character', according to the whim of the artistic creator. :) He's sure cute, though.

My Great Horned Owl is handmade in crochet in tan and white, plus white with flecks of gray, brown & tan acrylic yarn, which makes it look like 'feathers'. His eyes are tan and white with safety eye centers and his beak is gold.

Snow Owl is a similar shape and size to the Great Horned Owl and Ollie Owl -- all created from the same pattern! Next, I think I'll create a Barn Owl version!

A sweet little Lady Bug Plushie, very squeezable and hugable and just the right size for little hands. Did you know that Lady Bugs come in orange & yellow, as well as the well-known Red?

This Orange Lady Bug measures 7" long and 5" high and is 4" across. Hand-crocheted in washable acrylic yarn in orange and black and softly stuffed with polyfil, with antennae and facial features embroidered in orange on a black face.

One of Nature's most popular animals, especially with children, is the Turtle! Turtles come in many sizes, from the gigantic Sea Turtles to the tiny little baby turtles found in ponds. My crocheted version is just such a 'baby!'

Toppy Turtle loves all things in the great outdoors and, therefore, loves his green & yellow colors that he associates with Nature..

In the Intro I showed you a picture of a Plush Frog. Now I'd like to introduce him. His name is Phillip and he was hand-crocheted by me. This is his story....

Phillip's skin is green as grass
And he loves to jump and splash.

Phillip the Frog is handmade and is my interpretation in crochet of one of Nature's favorite creatures.

Phillip is a funny frog
He wears a great big smile
He's happy and playful
And would like to stay with you awhile.
