Lumping Frank Zappa's kids into one category and calling it "the Zappa Family" isn't especially good organization, particularly since the Zappas aren't a family act like The Osmonds or The Jackson Five
Borrowing a strategem from Capt. von Trapp, we'll just stick to Frank Zappa and the Mothers of Invention
If you like Frank Zappa, you may be a borderline sociopathic cultist who won't like anything else, but you could try Captain Beefheart, The Fugs, Professor Longhair, or Meat Loaf

Frank Zappa on Amazon
Zappa was a composer and arranger, which largely overshadowed his guitar virtuosity. He did however release a few "solo" albums without any of the various incarnations of the Mothers
Although Zappa's music is an eclectic blend drawn from a number of influences, Jazz Fusion is probably the most applicable genre.
Amazon lists the release date for all of these albums as 1995, which is probably when the digital remastering deal was concluded. The actual release dates are in his discography

At least The Open Dirctory Project didn't create a category "Zappas, Zeppos, and Zippos" as Amazon might have. Sooner or later, I'll make separate lenses for Moon, Dweezil, Ahmet, and Diva linking to them from here.
- Diva Zappa
- Frank's youngest daughter Diva steps out into the art world
- Moon Unit Zappa
- Author and artist Moon Unit Zappa promoting her latest book (which is NOT about herself or her FATHER), "America The Beautiful"
- Anarchy TV
- Official site of comedy film co-starring Dweezil, Moon Unit, Ahmet and Diva Zappa.

I've never quite been sure what distinguishes a blog from a regular webpage. Timeliness seems to have something to do with it, but that doesn't seem to be a hard and fast rule.
Anyway, here are some of the things I've been working on lately...
