Take Responsibility For You And Your Business
No More Excuses...The Buck Stops With You!
NOTE: The principles you will read below are focused on assisting you in becoming a successful entrepreneur in business, but by applying the same principles to your personal life as well, you will obtain complete success and total happiness in ALL areas of your life.

Many people struggle to earn a profit in their network marketing business, home-based business or any conventional business and I'm sure there are 101 reasons why their business is failing.
If this sounds like you, then don't be offended when I say that it's not the 101 reasons why your business is failing - they are just excuses. The main reason why your business is probably failing is because you are not taking complete and full responsibility for the choices you make, the actions you take and the results you have achieved within the business.
When you are running your own network marketing business, home-based business or conventional business, you need to hold yourself accountable for everything you do within this business.
You are responsible for your success and you are responsible for your failure!
Successful entrepreneurs do whatever it takes to be successful (without compromising their integrity) and they hold on to their course to reach their goals. In doing so, they are taking full responsibility for themselves (and their business) and instead of allowing outside influences to drive them off course, they influence the outcome to keep on course.
This article explores the necessity to take full responsibility for your current situation and to assist you in taking responsibility for everything you do (the choices you make, the actions you take), to improve your whole life and financial situation.

Taking Responsibility Is Important
The Results Of Your Life Reflect How Responsible You Have Been
Being responsible means that you accept that where you are right now (in business and in your personal life) is a direct result of the choices you made (or didn't make), and the actions you took (or didn't take).Responsibility (along with Passion, Desire, Vision, Belief, Action and Serving Others) is a key element in being a leader and obtaining success.
The reason why taking responsibility upon yourself is so important is because you realise the buck stops with you. You hold yourself accountable for where you are in life whether you have great success or not. You acknowledge that you are where you are purely because of the decisions you made and the actions you took.
Be proud of your success and realise that YOU are the reason for being successful. If you are not living the successful life you hoped, also realise that YOU are the reason for NOT being successful. Don't blame everyone and everything else for your results, and don't rely on luck to move you forward.
When you decide to take on responsibility for yourself, you throw 'luck' out the window and you work with what you have (even if it is very little) to create the so-called 'luck' in your life - creating the opportunities that present themselves as you move forward. You don't allow the influences of lack, or the influences of your family or society, or the influences of the economy to influence your outcome. A responsible entrepreneur will create their own 'luck' and always find a solution to their problem (no matter how big or small) to achieve the success they desire - no matter who they are, where they've come from or what they have right now to work with.
It is very important that you understand this: By being responsible means that you influence yourself, not outside circumstances influencing you.
Important: It is not where you have been or where you are right now but it is where you are going that matters! So be responsible in your choices and actions and continually move forward by asking yourself this:
'Will this choice or action bring me closer to my goal?...
If it doesn't, don't do it...find another way instead.
Responsibility In Business
How To Be Responsible For Your Business's Success
Your business will stop failing and become successful only when you take full responsibility of the choices you make, the actions you take, the vision you see, the belief you have, how strong your desire is for success, how passionate you are about what you do and how you can better serve your customers (and potential customers).
Let me ask you this...Why did you start running (or if you are considering a home-based business - why are you considering) a business for yourself?...
Is it freedom of time...to be closer to your family...to make a 'squillion' dollars :-) ...what was your reason for wanting to be self employed and becoming an entrepreneur of your own home-based business, internet network marketing business or conventional business?
Think about it for a moment, do you know why? (If you don't know why you started a business, you need to find a reason why, otherwise you will be going around in circles. It is very important to know why you are wanting a successful business or a successful life)
Once you have your clear vision, you need to believe that you will achieve it and really want this result. You need to be passionate about it and offer your best service to obtain it.
When you have your goal set, the next step is to take on the responsibility in achieving it. It is up to you, and only you, to make the right choices and to take the necessary actions for your dream (or vision) to become a reality because without being responsible and taking action, your dreams will always be dreams and nothing more.
Again, ask yourself this question:
'Will this choice or action bring me closer to my goal?'
If it doesn't, don't follow through with it then find a better way.
Most of all, DON'T GIVE-UP! If you do make a wrong choice, bounce back up immediately. Learn from it and move on and don't blame anyone or anything else for the mistake - take complete ownership of it!
Also, don't allow circumstances get in the way of your success. If you truly believe in what you do (are so passionate about it), no obstacle will be too great, no amount of work will be too much and nothing anyone says will deter you from being successful within your business (and in your personal life too if you apply the same principles).
A Side Note: Always have a balance between your business and personal life because one without the other is not complete success...your life is only part-way successful.
If you are a person of responsibility, you will take on any adversity that confronts you and you would find a way around it (or through it), and somehow get to the other side feeling more powerful and rewarded because of the choices you made and the actions you took.

How To Be Responsible
Being Responsible Is Being Self-Reliant & Committed
When you step up and be responsible for everything you do, you become reliant on one person and one person only...YOURSELF! And when you rely on yourself (and become self-reliant), you have no-one else to blame (or praise) but yourself. When you add Commitment to the mix there is no stopping you! You will be so committed to yourself and your business because you will have a clear vision of your desires...your outcome. You will have a strong belief in yourself and your business (because you are the only person held accountable for it's success) and you will find your passion in serving others, taking all-out Massive Action in your business (and your life), achieving and living the success you only ever dreamed of.
So, how do you become responsible?
1. Choose To Be Successful
First of all you need to make the decision to be successful and then take the actions necessary to achieve your goals.
2. What Actions Do I Take?
The physical actions will vary tremendously depending on what goal you are aiming to achieve. Use this little exercise to assist you in every decision you need to make:
Always keeping your goals and intentions in mind, ask yourself this:
'Will this choice or action bring me closer to my goal?'
If it does, follow through with it (always keeping your integrity intact) but if it doesn't, there is no point doing it.
3. Hold Yourself Accountable For Every Move You Make
Every move you make in your life is purely your choice..a decision YOU made. Hold yourself accountable for everything you do and if you make the wrong choice, accept that it was YOU that made that choice. If it was a poor decision, assess what influenced you, learn from it and move on. Don't hold a grudge or blame someone else for the final decision YOU ultimately made...Learn & MOVE ON!
4. Be Self-Reliant
It is up to you, and only you, to do what it takes to be successful. Don't rely on anyone else for your success, only rely on yourself. It is up to you to make the choices and take the actions required to reach YOUR goals. A successful person will rely on themselves and will not allow outside circumstances to influence their journey to success unless it is in alignment with their goals and passions.
5. Be Committed
Visualise the goals you are passionate about and be totally committed to achieving them. Don't allow circumstances to get in the way of reaching your goals, just be committed. If your passion is so strong, your commitment will naturally be strong too.
6. Being Trustworthy (Being In Integrity)
You will only move forward in all areas of your life if you are true to yourself and true to everyone else. By offering a service or friendship of 'Trust', your life will move forward exponentially! Living a life of Integrity brings you everlasting success. It is rewarding not only financially, but personally too.
7. Surround Yourself With Successful People
By surrounding yourself with successful people, you learn how they think, move, speak, respect and acquire. Successful Business Owners who are also successful in their personal life offer a great deal to learn from because they live with complete balance and harmony in ALL areas of their life...and who best to learn from than someone who is doing it?
