You'll want to make sure you get it right in your bedroom, perfecting everything you can see or feel when the lights go down and come on. All the attention you pay shopping around for the right bedroom furniture set, devising the space, layout, design, textures and colour scheme, will pay you dividends. I've just traded up to a kingsize bed and plonked it into the best space available.
Let me start again as that's not nearly enough. Moving an over sized bed into the space you have will not have the desired affect for the room.

Go online but also walk through to look at the types of designs that are available and withing your budget, that leave you enough space to move preferably around both sides of the bed. If you have that luxury.
Consider which brand, quality of the mattress (ie: Memory foam, Air mattress, Latex foam, Inner spring) and pillows (man made, down, or something medically recommended ) that you can afford.
