Good reminders. Making Squidoo lenses feels good so it's tempting to go for quantity in the beginning. Now I find myself retracing my steps to improve lens quality. The Squidoo experience gives so much to us lensmasters. I sharing my interests and meeting others who educate me about their passions. What a warm, loving community!

    Hi Robin,

Thanks for the great info to newbies.
Where do you make your photo to be in cartoon?
i have done my first lens, but w/o looking or reading
at your newbie guide, which i thing is a wrong move.
Made many mistakes along the way.
Will follow your guide for the 2nd lens.

BTW i heard that your lens can be banned from
listing? so what things can made your lens banned?

    Thanks again.

    Hi, perhaps you can help.

Everytime I go to my Squidoo URL it tells me:

    "Under Construction

Thanks for stopping by! .... is still working on adding content to this lens, and will publish it to the world soon. Stay tuned..."

But..the lens appears in the search results (the title/description, that is) and it shows as published . Yet, it also seems to stuck in the workshop some way. So how long I have to wait until Squidoo decides to take me out of the workshop and removes the 'Under Construction Message? Again I did pushed the 'Publish' button.

Thanks for an reply in advance

packetlog, a lens without at least 3 modules (any kind, not including your intro and guestbook) will not leave WIP status. In other words, it will not be published by Squidoo.
  • packetlog Sep 17, 2008 @ 4:32 am | delete
it's a very helpful lens. thank you. about having at least 3 modules i am a bit confused. i have a lens where the sole purpose it to get people to vote on a topic. so i chose jut to have ONE polling module (apart from introduction and comments). i think we have to keep our lenses clean, not cluttered. having many modules makes it cluttered in my opinion. thanks for your helpful information !!!
