Use Newsletters for Your Online Store and Products

You will get very target subscriber if you use a newsletter as a method to promote your store because only people that are interested in your store and the products that you are selling will give you their email address.

Under the US law, you must include your real address and phone number in your newsletters. If you really do not wish to include your residential address, you can apply for another address with your local post office which acts like a redirect to your residential address. Things were that way because they are scare that you are using newsletters to spam other people email boxes.

Assure your Subscribers

Promise your newsletter subscribers that you will not sell, share their email with outside parties and you will not spam them before they sign up.

Offer freebies or special sales to newsletter subscribers when they sign up

Reward your new subscribers with freebies, discount coupons, access to a special section of your stores or websites after they sign up. If you are giving away your products or freebies to new sign up, let them know how much your freebies are worth before they sign up.

Content in Your Newsletter

Send discount coupons, sale and promotion, new products, feature products, holidays and events products in your newsletters. Remember to include your store address. If you have a websites or blog related to your products, it will be much more interesting to send newsletters informing your customers or readers on new articles or events in your site. You may also wish to use this information as your main point and keep your products as secondly.

Sending Your Newsletter

Let your subscribers know how often you will send them your newsletter before they sign up

Do not send your newsletters too often. If you must, make it a weekly affair. If you send your newsletters too often, your newsletters will be ended up to their spam folder when your subscribers get bored or irritated with your newsletters. Not everybody unsubscribe their newsletters and it is much easier to click the "spam" folder button in their email. When your email address ended up in their spam folder, it will stay there forever.

Bypassing Spam Folder

Never use third party applications or software that promises you that your newsletters or emails will bypass their spam folder.

When a subscriber decided that he/she had enough of your newsletters and put your mails in their spam folder, do not use any software or applications to bypass their spam folder. You will only irritate someone to no end and create hate for your stores and products. You will not be seen as professional but as someone that used under mean to get sale.

Placing Your Newsletter Opt-In Forms

Put a newsletter opt-in forms on your store, blog, websites, lenses and more.

You will need to do some advertisement for your newsletter subscription as well. Do not put your newsletter opt-in form in your cat's blog when you are selling laptops in your newsletter. A subscriber who gives you their email address in a cat's blog will expect to receive newsletters on cat's information and products, not laptops.

Thank You for Your Purchase

Add a newsletter opt in form on your "thank you for your purchase" page.

Since your customers has already agreed to provide you with information such as their credit cards numbers, real name and address in order to purchase your products, chances are they will not mind giving you their email address if they are interest in your products. So providing your newsletter opt in form on your thank you page will increase your chances to get your customers to sign up for your newsletters.

Archive Your Old Newsletters

There are good reasons why you should keep an archive of your old newsletters. Your newsletter subscriber might have just accidentally deleted your newsletter and if you let them know where you have kept all the newsletters, they will know where to find them.

Another reason why you should keep an archive of your old newsletters is that new subscribers may want to know what was in your newsletter content before they subscribe. They want to make sure that they are receiving something worth reading rather than spam.
