The Honest Truth About Affiliate Marketing

Do you hate your day job? Do you hate getting up at 5AM on a cold snowy day just to make it to the time clock - on time? Honestly? Starting out in affiliate marketing will most likely bring you little or NO money - at least not in the first critical weeks or months. It is NOT a get rich quick scheme.

Basically, affiliate marketing is the process whereby you sell someone else's product for a commission. In the beginning, you'll do this through article marketing. The tools needed are a Clickbank account (Free), a Paypal account(also Free), an internet connection and a computer. (ALSO Free, if you use the library)!
Sound simple? It is!
The next step is to pick a product and try to sell it........

For beginners, it is usually best to pick something you know a bit about. Most of the products at Clickbank are e-books selling information about literally hundreds of subjects.

Once you have chosen your product and taken note of your affiliate link, it's time to do some product research. Visit the sellers site (landing page) and learn as much about this particular product as you can. Search Google on the subject and learn more! When you are confident that you know enough about your product it's time to write your article - or should I say articles!

Write one article of about 300-500 words on the subject. Do NOT try to oversell your product. Just give some useful, honest information about the product or on the subject matter.

For example, say you have chosen a product that can help people stop snoring. You can write your article several different ways. You can tell a story about the horrendous snoring you have had to endure from your spouse for the past ten years - OR you can give scientific reasons why and how some people snore. Whichever way you go, just be natural and again, give solid honest advice and information and you can't go wrong.

At the end of your article, you will enter one or two links to the sellers landing page. If people like your article they will then click on that link to learn more about the wonderful product you've told them all about.
