I have been a member of Niche Profit Classroom since August of this year, and I will admit, my experience with web business (Niche and Affiliate websites) is very limited.

On the other hand, I have spent, on average, two hours a day watching videos about building these kinds of websites, and I'm not even through half of the content. There are hours upon hours of lessons on how to make a web business successful (which they continually add to).

What would I say is the quality of the lessons offered?

Very high. It is very clear that they have put a lot of time into these videos, and even more into the system they've developed.

I am almost ready to launch my first web site, which over the next few months I will be posting web stat updates, so that you can see how well the websites function for yourselves.

1) Very low start-up

In comparison to the costs of opening a retail store, a small web business has very low start-up. Web property (domain names etc.) is much cheaper than real estate any day, and I don't think that will ever change. For instance:

Domains- $7

Lease a 1500 sq ft shop- Prices vary, but can range anywhere from 50 cents a square foot to even $1.00 or more, thats a monthly lease of $750-$1500 or more!

Even to purchase a five year domain for $30-$40, you are still paying way less! Think about if you could open a retail store for 50 cents a month, your profit margins would be ridiculous!

2) Low monthly overhead

Products are much more readily available, and at no cost to you. In most businesses you have the headache of purchasing and managing heaps of inventory. With an e-book, or software, or other products that are simply transferred over the internet there is very little to no hassle.

3) I can do it on my own time, at my own house

Although I realize I do need to put in at least 4-6 hours a day to grow my business (I know, numbers like this are very unrealistic, you have to meet goals not spend time) I can spend whatever time of the day or night working on my web business. If I want to walk away for a few hours and let off some steam, what's there to stop me.

4) There are an unlimited number of resources available

Everything ranging from social bookmarking tools, to blog finders, to e-mail campaign management, everything you could possibly need to optimize your website, is out there for free (usually set up on a partnership program, promotion and/or sales for use) or for an affordable price.

You don't need to hire tens to hundreds of employees to make day to day operations work, or research, there is software to do it for you.

5) You get to learn about things you are interested in

One thing I remember learning in my career classes back in school, is that they always say to get a job doing something you enjoy.

In niche marketing, you are encouraged to sell things you know a lot about. Because your web-sites are typically content based, you have to do a lot of research and in depth study on the products you are selling.

For instance, say you love to play the guitar, you can write a program to teach people how to play, or, if you want to get better, buy a program, then turn around and become an affiliate for it, at any rate, you are going to spend time studying guitar and associated topics which will in turn increase the amount of knowledge you have in that specific field.
