Nikki and Chris in Love - They Have a Girl and a Boy now too!
Its rare to have a baby born face first, but Nikki and her loving husband now have two children, Aubrey and Cayden, both born in Fargo. It is a wonderful time in Nikki's life to have and be raising little ones. She is a stay at home mom and wife, and she has many talents. Nikki was born in 1985 in Fargo, North Dakota in the United States of America. The family moved to a farmstead out in the country in the fall of 2008 not far from Fargo. ~ My hat is off to Nikki & Chris for their parenting!

The Day Aubrey Mae Was Born!
What an exciting time for everyone! A new born baby picture...
Us three grandmas were impressed with Nikki, because she didn't yelp, curse, or make lots of noise while she went through labor-pains. She once in awhile would say, "It hurts," in a soft voice. Aubrey waited to be born seconds after midnight on November 28th 2006.Then we seen the look on Chris' face changed to joy instead of concern. Well, done!
Hope that the next delivery will go much faster and easier in May, hun!

Such a sweet little girl, who knows what she likes and doesn't like.
Nikki is a stay at home-mom. I was a stay at home mom, too. With a little darling like this to take care of, staying home is a good idea, if you can. When you have to pay for child-care, gas, work clothes, and lunches it all adds up. Most people are losing more money then it is worth to not stay at home and raise those little ones.At this point Aubrey was expecting to be the center of the universe, and she was!

We had a family get together when Uncle Randy & Auntie Karen were in Fargo to see us and Eric Clapton. We stuffed our faces on pizza and a wonderful desert that Nikki made. Chris wasn't done eating, yet!This picture was taken on March 31st of 2007.

Chris and Nikki tied the knot on June 7th 2008. Nikki made all the wedding plans and did a wonderful job. I think all of the family & friends were impressed with this new found talent of hers.Nikki made their wedding cake and made all of the invitations. They were very nice and very professional done.

Lynnette, Nikki, Chris & Aubrey
Aubrey's Initials Are: AW!
Lynnette & Nikki have known each other since 1992. We moved into the house next door and Lynnette & Nikki have been good friends since. Lynnette was Nikki's 'maid of honor' and looked as beautiful as ever! Lynnette came back from Texas during summer break and stayed at the their home to help with the wedding plans. She was very helpful in her sweet-caring way.Lynnette has always been my all time favorite neighbor since she was about 3 years old. I could tell some funny stories. What character!

Isn't this a beautiful picture of a flower? I told Nikki that she could make cards with her many floral pictures. They would be great to send to loved ones!Nikki took up flute during her grade school years and played in the school bands in Fargo schools. She also took private piano lessons for a few years and did play for recitals. Nikki has a nice singing voice and sang back-up in a band at the church we attended.

Nikki had Aubrey all dressed-up in a swimsuit and grass skirt for the beach adventures that were in store. Aubrey is always dressed up in cute little outfits or costume for the given holiday.Nikki is a good mother and spends her time raising her little girl as a stay at home mom!

New Born Cayden!
Cayden was born face first, so his face was bruised at birth.
Cayden was 7 pounds 5 ounces and 20 inches at birth. He reminds me of Nikki when she was born a lot. Nikki says he reminds her of a baby picture of Chris. I can see Chris in this sweet little face too. ~ Now that Cayden is older, he looks like Daddy!
When Nikki was giving birth, the doctor told her that the baby was looking right at her and coming out face first. The doctor wanted to do a C Section, but Nikki said, "No." She said that she had to push a lot hard then when she had Aubrey Mae. When Cayden was born, he screamed like crazy, so that must have been very painful for him. He looked like he had been in a prize fight. His upper lip was very swollen and most of his face bruised. I prayed for him as soon as I got to hold him. The next day the nurses, everyone was happy to see a great improvement. Nikki said she could see a big improvement the night of his birth.

You don't get to actually see this everyday, much less get a picture of it while a Stork is Delivering a Baby! - Soon Nikki, Chris and Aubrey will have the pleasure of having a brand new baby delivered to them.I think this is a pretty picture and wanted to share it!
Preparing the home for your new baby!
* Clear Out: Make room for baby by clearing your home of unused items. A survey found that the average American has 35 unused items in their home with a resale value of $670*!
* Maximize Closet Space: Utilize every inch of your closet by inserting a low hanging closet rod and shelving. A over-the-door shoe rack is a great place to store small baby necessities like lotions, medicines and powders.
* Family Affair: If you already have kids, get them involved in preparing for baby by letting them take part in the organizing and decluttering process. They'll enjoy stepping into the role of the big sibling and will be excited to help prepare for their new little brother or sister!
* "Baby" space: Use a dresser as a changing table by placing a changing pad on top (used dressers average for around $31*). It will give you drawer space to hold extra sheets, blankets, diapers and changing items so that everything is within arms reach.
* Keep It Safe: When decorating baby's room, install safety covers on electrical outlets, cut the loops on window blind cords, and don't hang heavy objects over the crib.
* No Monsters Under the Bed: Use the space under your baby's crib to store extra sheets and blankets or the toys and clothing that your child hasn't grown into yet.
* Build Up: Don't forget to look vertical when trying to create space. Add shelves to the space above your baby's changing table to store onesies and blankets.
* Mommy Connection: Purchase items that babies grow out of quickly secondhand.
* In & Out: Once you've decluttered your home, keep it from coming back.

Someday I might make a lens about when I lived on the Saum commune. We had many animals to care for, fields to plant and harvest, pickle and can. There was only one rule there. It was, if you can't carry your own weight, you can leave. I was busy from morning till night and slept very well.
Well, dogs like to dress like people!
A New Puppy!
It seems there's always going to be new puppies and kittens at Nikki's house. Adorable! I always love the smell of a little puppy. Nikki is holding the tiny new pup in her hand.When Nikki's pets have babies, she is there for them. With some babies not breathing at birth, Nikki has learned to give mouth to mouth resuscitation. She has breathed life into some that made it.

- It would be interesting to find some baby pictures of when you were first born to see if there was bruising, you might be right, but you could be wrong! Lol! I don't know if mom would remember ... but you could ask her about that. ~ Jaime was just over to visit for a while. Things are going okay for him, just never has enough money. It would be nice to always have enough money to do things and travel. ~ Well, I'm going to watch a scary Halloween movie to celebrate the day. ~ Happy Halloween To All!

- As I was looking at the pictures of Cayden, I was recalling the ones of his very bruised up face that, of course, are not being shown here. It is amazing how much the bruisong improved after you prayed--I can sure see the concern on Chris and Nikki's faces here--they were hurting for their little boy.
I was also born with some apparent trauma--Dad always said I looked like a prize fighter with a bruised up face and my nose shoved up and to one side. Perhaps I was a face first birth as well. There has always been a line across my nose that isn't perceivable unless I point it out.[in reply to Tipi]

- I don't know how you missed that, but it would be something else to know that a pet is alive because of you. There have been heart breaking moments where resuscitation didn't work. All I can say is that it must be heart breaking to see a tiny baby animal that doesn't respond. ~ I wish everyone all the best! Lol! My security word is "dogsquid"
