Yes, the name Nintendo is known for its Wii sports, Wii play and even its Wii games but now it will be known for something even greater. Now Nintendo Wii will be known also for their exercise system called Wii Fit.

The Nintendo Wii Fit is the second brain child to their wildly popular Wii Console, which has sold over 10 million units just in the United States alone since its launch in 2006.

Nintento Wii Fit is a pressure sensitive plastic slab or balancing board that is jam packed with sophisticated exercise and fitness tracking software. The balance board is a very sturdy board that communicates with the Wii console. When a player steps on the Wii Fit it senses their movements, balance, and your center of gravity.

The exercise is broken up into four parts:
1. Aerobics
2. Yoga
3. Strength Training
4. Balance

To get started with your Wii Fit you will need to enter your avatar, put in your weight, age, gender and the system will calculated your body mass.

The fun part of this is that the Wii will tell you based on your age where your fitness level should be. The further you are from the Wii age the less in shape you are. You will not need to keep track of your improved flexibility or your weight loss, the system will do that for you.

The Nintento Wii Fit allows you two fitness models so that you can feel comfortable at whatever level you choose. You can choose preprogrammed fitness routines or you can do create some of your own, whatever your comfort level is.

This balance board allows you to do leg lifts, yoga, walk a tight rope, ski jump or choose from their 3D personal trainer. You also get to chose if you want a male or female personal trainer.

You might not get the rock hard muscle tone body with your Nintendo Wii Fit but it will get you to start exercising and actually having fun with it. And it gives you the opportunity to have the whole family join in and keep score and challenge each other. It is a great exercise, fun tool not just for gaming but for the entire family.

While it will not replace your membership at the gym, Wii Fit will certainly is fun. And most people find the gym scene too restrictive and repetitive.
