There are now businesses dealing in the world of nitro RC cars that set about building custom-made nitro RC cars just so that their customers can set themselves apart from fellow enthusiasts. The collectors that seek these custom-made nitro RC cars collect mainly for the look; for the feel of owning a piece of automotive history (in a sense).
Whichever way people choose to collect and use their nitro RC cars the idea is to have fun!

Why do so many people (mostly adults) site RC Cars as a hobby of theirs?Is it because they refuse to grow up; wanting instead to chase after the ideals that they kept during their childhood?
Not in my opinion.
I have always felt that the reason the nitro RC car is a popular past-time amongst a certain group of adults is not because of our longing to regain a part of our childhood, but is instead to do with our need for speed (to coin a phrase)!
Through my experiences, the nitro RC car is popular as a tool for enthusiasts to use simply to compete against each other.
As eluded to above, times are changing and a large proportion of collectors are now collecting nitro RC cars as collectors items. Yes, they still use them, but not usually in a race environment.
The nitro RC car was made for people to enjoy it, whichever way they choose to!
